Interesting, but not powerful enough to maintain interest

The pluses: it's shot in fabulous black and white, making it an otherworldly experience. There is no dialogue. The music is all synthesized, and sometimes very successful at capturing a strange mood; other times not.

The Asian cast, in particular, the lead, is very attractive. The Black actor does his best with a limited script.

The idea of two strangers meeting, feeling drawn to each other, but unable to go further, is intriguing. But even at 20 minutes, this felt 5 minutes too long.

It was shot well, the lighting was superb and the director has an eye for images. So, in some ways it was impressive, but since we all want to hear/see/be seduced by stories, this ultimately does not succeed. But still, an interesting effort.
