Nice show to watch. One thing that does worry me is that people will think they can emulate these two and I wonder if that is possible. Dick Strawbridge seems to be able to make, fix or do just about anything really! Everything from marrying people to cooking a banquet.
I also question how much money they claim to have spent on the place when they first moved in. I personally think that just fitting an elevator would have taken the money they claim to have spent. As someone just said to me "more of a fantasy than Darling buds of May". I would think that they have spent well over a million on that property since this series began. There is a great deal of every expensive stuff going on there even if Dick did a lot of work himself. As I said the show is enjoyable but don't put your house on the market just yet unless you can get Dick Strawbridge to come and work for you for free..... Oh wait didn't they make a follow on show along those lines!
