Worst ending to a series ever...

Warning: Spoilers
***Spoilers Ahead***

Maudlin and needlessly depressing. This attempt to bring the series full circle failed miserably. With the final scenes in the romantic afterlife hardly compensating for the loss of a main character, there is no satisfaction in this ending. A poorly written episode; the previous two or three episodes could have easily been better series finales.

Spoiler Alert....

I thought it was a decent enough ending. Too many shows don't give a finale of any sort but this one did. What I don't understand is when Charlie is in his 'future' and meets his daughter - that was kind of a sweet moment - but the ending when Alex meets up with Charlie didn't make sense. Alex tells Charlie that it's been 50 years but when Charlotte meets Luke at the hospital, she tells him that 'it won't be long'. Neither child looks close to 50 - not even 40 to be honest. So how is Alex on her death bed, Luke is about to get married and neither are close to 50? It would have been more likely if it had been 35 years - Luke would be close to 40 and Charlotte about 35. Sad to see this show end, I did like it.

Disappointing finale...

Warning: Spoilers
We waited 5 seasons for them to get together and then then they kill off Charlie.

The episode was well done and it made me tear up, but it was still a disappointment. Another review mentioned that one of the previous episodes would have made a better finale.

Charlie's organs saved the lives of others, so that gives some solace. The timing of the scenes in the future and the final scene, make no sense. This show is a fantasy, so we'll chalk it up to that.

Awful awful ending

The best thing about this episode, was Charlie was finally rid of Alex, if anyone should have died it should of been Alex. Dumped Charlie TWICE!!! And yet she is all good. She wasn't blessed, she was cursed, everyone around her died!!! Also one thing I learned about drivers in Toronto? HORRIBLE DRIVERS!! For one guy to be in 3 life altering, horrific car crashes, either is in an area with horrible drivers, or just lazy writing. Which I'll lean toward lazy writing. Kinda glad this show is over, the last 2 seasons were tortuous to get through, but kinda had to see it through. They take the best guy, one of the nicest on the show, and he is the one that dies at the end. Full circle? Nah, lazy writing. There is a reason this episode is the lowest rated in the whole series.

this ending was not very good.

Well i wasn't too happy with the ending. Sure they are together but dang, why kill him off? I know that Alex was saying that there was too much pain so that is why she was avoiding being with Charlie at one point but that is life. Sure this might be a slice of what real life is for some people. Life is pain, with moments of great joy in between. I was hoping for a "happy ever after" ending. The point of watching television shows is to be entertained. You don't want to have your own problems thrown in your face. You want the joy and intrigue of someone else's life. I was thinking maybe they would shut the hospital down (wasn't that the end of St. Elsewhere?) i get that writers don't always have a good way to wind up a series that has been on for a few years, some times quite a few years! There were a few things about this show that i didn't agree with. I won't go into that cause i don't need the grief but i thought that the show was good for the most part. I liked that Charlie could help people with his "gift". I just wish there had been a "happily ever after" in this case. There was already enough sorrow and drama throughout the series, it didn't need to end on that note.
