I am an Asian. The reason I chose to watch this movie at the theater is because I want to know how Asian animation is developing. And I was really disappointed when I finished watching this movie.

Except the animation, the rest is too bad. This may be the worst animation film I saw this year, although there are films that are not good like The Grinch or Ploey (Iceland). The plot is a mess, confusing and troublesome. The director was too greedy to put too many story lines in 1h30m . Humor = 0 and this is a ripoff of Pixar Cars at the upper level. Discrete film plot. The film has tons of characters, but any character does not do well. I know this is one of Malaysia's most expensive animated films. But unfortunately, a good film doesn't mean a high-budget film, it seems that this film burns money for fun.

Don't waste your time watching this movie. The Emoji Movie is much better than this. Trust me.

Easy Tigers

Ok, so all user reviews are in the extreme negative, & some lazy journalism has the description as a complete rip-off of Cars.

Actually, it's not. Yes, main character Wheely is a racing car, & a bit cocky, & his eventual sidekick, Putt Putt (who IS very annoying), is a tad Mater-esque, but the storyline is not the same in the slightest.

Wheely is a cocky racing car, but has his career ended by an accident. With no parts available to properly repair his damage, he becomes a taxi. Down on his luck, being targeted by a dumb cop car, he seems to finally catch a break when meets the car/girl of his dreams. However, she gets targeted by an evil truck who runs a luxury car-napping organisation, & some little element of fun ensues as he attempts to get her back.

The character design is not a rip-off of Cars, as some have stated. The faces/eye positions are different, & designs are more exaggerated than the realistic armory of Pixar automobiles. These actually reminded me more of the cars in the Roary The Racing Car series.

The main issues for me are the voices & some of the animation. Vocally, Wheely & Putt Putt & the cop are very annoying, & others are way over the top/over exaggerated.

Animation-wise some of the art is actually not bad in places, not quite Pixar/Dreamworks standard, but not as bad as described.

There are certainly some deficiencies, but not everyone has Disney level financial backing. The lack of background activity, once noticed, is where you notice that they have cut corners, & for some reason, makes scenes feel slow & labored(along with that voice acting again), & some scenes look unfinished.

Some characters & scenes are scarier than the G rating this has, & a few darker moments would take this to a mild PG for me.

I've seen this a few times more than I would've liked, as my lil boy is a car nut, & loves most movies/series with 4 wheeled vehicles, but I don't think this quite deserves the level of abuse it has.

Others should check out the 'Cars Life' series for the epitome of animation awfulness (or not).

It is the worst rip-off of Disney's Cars I've seen yet. I mean, the mouths are identical, the whole graphical style is extremely similar, and the animation the same but worse. Not only that but it's lazy, most of the cars look the same, the plot may swell be Cars 1, the characters are the same. The girlfriend is even still based on a Porsche, the sidekick has buck-teeth and is dumb like mater, the main character gets a new paint job and keeps it, Frank is sort of like Doc Hudson, it just gets worse the more you watch it. I wish there was at least 1 little joke in there to make me chuckle. Also there are literally 2 helicopters in the whole film, they appear twice, once at the start and once at the end. When they got to the end, they forgot which voice went to which helicopter! There are 2 choices and they got it wrong! 1/10, next time just donate the the "$20,000,000" budget. Seriously 20mil on that?! I can think of so many better things to waste that much money on.

Was like watching Disney's Cars all over again

As a car enthusiast I will pretty much watch anything related to cars, good or bad. This falls into the latter category. As a Cars fan, this was a cheap knock-off. If you don't take my advice and watch it, as the film proceeds you start feeling the familiarity. Even one of the main characters Put Put is very close to tow mater, buck teeth, gets the main character into trouble, and is a bit dumb. Sounds familiar right? They spent so much money on the animation and forgot to get a unique story. What a waste of time and money. Overall 2/10 I wouldn't recommend watching this film.

Never saw something worse

Went there with kids (5 and 9) and wanted to see a nice film for them. even the small one (with not so high expectations) was completely dissapointed and saw the 'chinese' copy of Cars.

Well, You've Got Many Mockbusters, and this is the one I will talk about. It's about a car named Wheely O'Wheels who wants to be a racer, but he soon goes on adventures. I give this 0/10. It also has Gross, Disgusting and Awful animation and all of the characters are Stupid and the music is Horrible, but the only part i like is Never Gonna Get Me and the scene where Bella di Monetti getting car-napped by Kaiser which She deserves it! Pretty cool animation from Malaysia, and those who don't like this fairy tale and prefer Pixar, why did they watch it? Just watch the trailer. Cool fairy tale. RECOMMEND!

No originality and completely copies Cars Movie Franchise

This movie was such a replica of the Cars movies that I am confused about how this couldve actually been made and distributed. Every plot detail is a version of the original Cars movie ,even the designs,only cheaper and less appealing. Why was this movie even made? The characters are less interesting and visually inferior to the storyline they are obviously ripping off. Horrible.

This movie is shamelessly called a ripoff of Cars, although it absolutely not. This movie has everything, from action, to drama and even love. All the character are extremely likeable. Wheely, as a protagonist, grows as a "car"acter, from a cocky, kinda unlikable guy, to a developed, caring man. Putt-putt is funny, likable guy. Ben and Kaiser are both entertaining antagonists, although the latter is definitely the better one. The pace is perfect, not going too fast, but yet, is not boring. And too, like Pixar, the animation and music is stellar. So basicaly, this movie is perfect. The "reviews" here don't know how to appreciate film, and cannot see the movie for what it is.

For a rip off of cars; still just as good. The animation is actually very decent. The voice acting was okay, and the story was decent. I know there's alot of butt hurt disney fans out there marking this movie down simply because it's a ripoff of cars', without giving this movie a fair chance.

I mean my 2 year old likes it but he also likes wiping his snot on the wall. Absolutely atrocious film, has none of the thought out storylines, humour or appeal of some Disney films - just badly written and with the most annoying voices you can imagine.

Better than expected

A young, overconfident race car loses his ability to race, befriends a buck-toothed simpleton with a strong sense of loyalty and gets caught up in trying to stop a master criminal's plans. Is this a budget version of Disney's Cars 1 & 2 rolled into one? Pretty much and that's why it gets the poor reviews. The animation will never be as rich as Disney and the voices aren't recognised A listers making characters lovable, but guess what? That doesn't mean its as bad as people claim. Both the animation and voice acting are very good. The story may be a bit of a shameless copy but my 3 year old loves it so much he has watched nothing but this on repeat for a few days and I'm not completely sick of it. So it must be doing something right!

My only question is: in a world where everyone is a vehicle, what does a taxi actually do?? I could understand if the taxis were flat bed trucks capable of carrying other cars but they are regular cars???? Its like hiring someone to walk with you.

It's Wheely mediocre

The overall film is not the worst that I have ever seen and I would say in certain areas the film is quiet good.

The plot is slightly reminiscent of Cars 3 but not a direct copy like what some are trying to portray this as. The voice acting is to a good standard and nothing too bad can be said about it, maybe besides the terrible terrible impression of an English accent, even if it is being done in jest.

I couldn't recommend this film as something that someone needs to watch bit if there is absolutely nothing else on this would be a nice way to kill an hour and a half so there is that.

Overall not bad not good just Wheely mediocre.

The movie is called the ripoff of Pixar Cars, though not. The film has all thing from action, drama and love. All characters are very much liked. Wheeli, as the main protagonist, grew up as a "car" actor, from arrogant, rather unpopular people, to advanced and loving men. Putts is a funny and liked guy. Benn and Kaiser are entertaining antagonists, though Kaizer is better. The steps are perfect, not too fast, but not boring. This movie is very good and I very happy it was creation in my country.

Wheely Wheely Cool

1. Animation. Oh no, what the hell? Nothing looks this cool. I have no idea how they made the cars look so realistic, still amusingly fit with the characters.

2. Creativity. Thank goodness for Wheely and Putt Putt. The storyline is absolutely unpredictable in a believable world coxed by cool machines.

It's savoury how Ogie Banks' voice fits perfectly with the grumbling of Wheely's engine, sounds just like fine-tuned wheezing in a ride.

I knew this movie was going to be somewhat "b-grade" and riding on the coat tails of Disney's Cars... but I wasn't expecting such an overall bad movie. It was seriously terrible. TERRIBLE. I wonder if the better known actors that appeared in the movie knew what the producers were planning to release. The dialog didn't even flow. It was a very basic and done-before plot and they couldn't even make it hold my kids attention. They love movie night. But this just had them bored, they got up and found their toys and played in front of the TV, not even looking up. Like they knew it wasn't a real movie. No character depth (at all). Bad animation that was just clearly trying to copy a "style" of Disney - but didn't cut it in any way. This was a waste of my money and my kids time. I was bitterly disappointed and am somewhat angry (partly at my self for not looking at reviews first) that I ever got this movie for them. Don't see this movie, it doesn't deserve any attention. It's shameful.
