It was bats again.

Warning: Spoilers
Spence, Gabi, and their dog Spooky believe themselves to be ghost hunters, although they have never seen a ghost. When an old creepy local mansion becomes for sale, they have no problem trespassing looking to get photographic proof of a ghost. Older siblings decide to have fun at their expense.

This is Saturday morning bland. It has potential but creates an overly friendly ghost and demons that looked like "Blinky" the Simpson fish. Scooby-doo is better.

Nice one for the whole family

Animated movie made for Canadian TV. Youngsters Gabi and Spence, along with their dog Spooky, are the 'Ghost Patrol'. They cycle around town - armed with camera and EMF meter - investigating reports of ghosts; but they've yet to actually see one. When Gabi's estate agent mother is tasked with trying to sell the run-down, 'so-creepy-it-must-be-haunted' Geist Manor, Gabi and Spence jump at the chance to sneak in one night and hopefully finally find the proof they've been looking for.

The two leads (voiced by Lili Beaudoin and Travis Turner) are engaging, and the settings are enjoyably eerie - with an overall feel somewhere in the middle of Scooby-Doo, The Funky Phantom, and The Real Ghostbusters. The 3D animation is fine and very similar to that of the Inspector Gadget reboot show a few years back. At under an hour long this is perfect for kids at Halloween (and kids should appreciate the swipes aimed at social media throughout). The ending (although conclusive) sets up for further adventures - although I've not found anything to say there were any. Shame. This is an easy, relaxed, family watch. 6/10.

This will hardly haunt you for a long time...

I sat down to watch "Ghost Patrol" with my son, whom is 8 years old. I think we found it on Netflix.

I have to say that "Ghost Patrol" was definitely aimed for children, through and through.

It had some pretty poor CGI graphics, which made it somewhat difficult to sit through and watch on the screen.

"Ghost Patrol", did however, have an adequate story for the young audience. Although my son lost interest in it towards the last third of the movie. So I can't really claim that this was a hit in any way.

There are far better CGI animated movies for the young audience out there, and "Ghost Patrol" left no lasting good impression on either of us, and it is highly doubtful that "Ghost Patrol" will come back to haunt us a second time.

A fun watch

Warning: Spoilers
Not an award winner by any means, but it was fun to watch. I also liked that the whole episode was less than an hour, but it told a complete story without sacrificing any part of what was going on.

The characters were believable, the story was just right without being too "cartoony" or stupid. There was just the right amount of everything for a good, decent program.

I would like to see more single episodes like this one.

Fun Movie for the family!

Great movie for kids and adults to watch together. I usually do not watch animations, but I found this to be entertaining. It also was well written. I would love to see this turned into a series. The writers left it open to do, so I hope it will become a reality. I look forward to following the creator to see other children's animation movies or series.

My daughter loved it!

My daughter is 4 and loves anything Halloween. This short was a nice little break from the Scooby-Doo type shows or the hotel transylvania type movies... or the constant replay of Nightmare before christmas.
