Escape into ocean Immersion
ledfordpatricia23 December 2020
This is the most incredible documentary into which I escape nightly, Immersing myself into every ocean creature's environment, only wishing I could dive in and embrace each one. This evolving landscape is like a limitless cloud floating oneself into sound slumber. I have begun to name each creature without benefit of an app to correctly each and every one. Recommend a subtle or app to provide accurate identification of these bejeweled creatures.

Mind-blowing

I've seen my share of underwater documentaries, shows about keeping tropical fish as pets, the Octonauts, etc. And I've been to a dozen different public aquariums, including the prestigious Monterey Bay Aquarium. So, while I was ready to marvel at fish I'd seen before, I wasn't ready to be astonished again and again and again by all the fish species I'd never seen.

This is beautifully captured footage. Not blurry or murky. The fish rarely looked perturbed or even aware of the cameras' presence. And the music is a wonderfully relaxing complement for the footage. The other calming aspect (while not necessarily the most realistic) is that there's no violence beyond a little nudging between a crab and fish. This makes it perfect for my toddler. He can learn about the circle of life when he's older.

I can't recommend anything more highly for those who are looking for the *real* shock and awe of our planet.

Most incredibly beautiful film I think I've ever seen

There is no talking or narrative. Just fish, coral, sea anemones and other creatures, plus beautiful music. The incredible colors, patterns, shapes.. are simply breathtaking. I am actually crying as I write this... it's so beautiful. You just can't believe there are so many wild patterns and combinations of color in fish. The coral is equally beautiful. I know I'll be watching this over and over. The photography is stunning and crystal clear.

There aren't enough words...

I have watched this documentary at least 4 times. It is breathtakingly beautiful EVERY time. When I'm feeling any kind of stress, this is the answer. The colors and shapes of the sea creatures are vast and varied. One reviewer wrote that they were crying as they wrote their review. I'm not crying but am certainly in mind-blown awe of this documentary. I think I see different fish every time I view it. I strongly recommend this documentary if you are even only marginally interested in fish. I think you'll change your mind after watching. Howard Hall, you're a genius! Thank you. I hope you make another film some time soon.

Stunning spectacular fish and sealife

This video may not be for everyone. If you're impatient person in a hurry, don't watch it. But if you're an impatient person and want to lower your blood pressure, watch it. I'm an 'A' type and this video calmed me waaay down.

No dialogue; has some repetition; the background music might annoy some, but simply turning the volume down solves that issue.

A fish expert probably has seen all of the fish before, but there were at least 6-8 species that I hadn't. And they are spectacular! The videography is truly excellent too.

Highly recommended because I'm sure to watch it a second time, which is a rarity for me.

Blue Planet it is not...

I thought this was going to be a documentary about fishes.... it's just a camera, of poor quality looking at fishes in the ocean. Cuts to different fishes swimming every minute or so and has no narration. This would be more appropriate for youtube considering the imagery isn't good and it's got meditative type music.
