Epic!

The second season of this series has been, so far, pretty good. But, this last episode was simply epic! A lots of action, drama and characters development, and finally some justice in the story! The plot grows stronger from episode to episode and you cannot preview what can happen in the next. The actors are great and so does Netflix and BBC! What a great show!
Why haven't I heard of this show before?!! Epic!

This is one of the best episodes I have seen on TV. Action, intense, character development, dialog and writing. Everything is just amazing. I was literally on the edge of my couch the whole time cheering and clapping 👏 .. even standing ovation at some point.
The relationship and dynamic between Uhtred and his brother Ragnar is something you want to see every minute in every episode of this epic show.
The pace and turn of events must be taught in the TV industry.. it is like watching a movie. So many things happening in one episode and you can never guess what is going to happen next.
I really really wonder why haven't I heard of this show before? There are so many episodes that looks like a season finale, or series finale like this one but there are always many epic turn of events that takes you to a whole new journey yet even more exciting. Well done for everyone involved in this show... Well done 👏

One of the best episodes on a consistently solid show

I love this episode. Watching him take his power back is fabulous, and the chemistry between both sets of brothers makes this episode. The way Uhtred and Ragnar storm into York and the way they are so solid a team is the thing we've been waiting for. On the rewatch it's bittersweet but so much of their father is in both of them and this is the pinnacle of them as a team.
And the sequence with the square, all three siblings give extraordinary performances. Just beautifully done. This is one of the few action shows that spends as much and risks as much on character development and it shows. I hope it gets more recognition.

A high point for the show so far.

I must confess I went into this show expecting a lot, maybe too much. For something with as high a score as this, I felt that the first season was a bit weak at points. The drama fell a bit flat for me, as well as some of the performances.
I'm very glad I stuck with it, though. The episodes got progressively better as the season went on, and this one was an absolute high point in every aspect. The production values are still great, with some specially good makeup work, as are the action scenes, but the absolute highlight for me were the actors. Basically everyone is great this episode. Ian Hart keeps knocking it out of the park as Father Beocca, Eva Birthistle as Hild is pretty good as well, even with few scenes, and Alexandre Willaume has more screen time to work with and uses it to portrays a strong antagonist as Kjartan. Alexander Dreymon, as the lead, is also great. I feel I might be mixing character growth with the actor's growth, but it really felt good watching him on this one.
In my opinion this episode absolutely deserves the high score it has here on IMDB.
