A gripping and natural supsense drawer.
Mulhollandrob-118 May 2019
The thought of a 40 mins short film sounds insufferable, however Lansing based independent filmmaker and actor Michael McCallum pulls off a well-crafted, greatly paced, and highly engaging suspense drawer. By cleverly inter cutting clips of hold and 50's cartoons to capture the characters state of mind, "Two for the Show" is a modern neo-noir drama that is part character study, part thriller that always feels raw and natural. McCallum shows greater confidence behind and in front of the camera, and you can see his maturity and growth of his craft in this film, and the writing is honestly comparable to the noir elements of great 1950's films and even the Coen Bros.

"Two For The Show" is actually the title of the second novel by Janet Evanovich featuring Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter and her grandma!

The duplication of use of the title here and in the soon to be released second Stephanie Plum movie, following "One For The Show" is confusing and regrettable.

Janet Evanovich in her novels very carefully and thoughtfully numbered them successfully in the titles so that her readers could conveniently keep track of their favorite characters, such as Stephanie, Ranger, Morelli and her grandma who pulled a pistol from her purse and shot the turkey at Thanksgiving dinner! Now you can surely understand why her fans would not want to miss any of her stories!

You owe some authors, directors, actors and producers as well as your customers a sincere apology! When is the next show being released? I believe it should be, "Three To Get Ready"! I and all of the fans of Stephanie Plum, her family, friends, enemies and associated neighbors and law enforcement officers are eagerly awaiting.
