Indie slasher isn't the worst of its type

Warning: Spoilers
BLOODY SNOW is ostensibly a horror film about a girl who finds herself the target of a serial killer who makes it his job to kill everyone around her. Watching it, you may well miss this part of the film because it doesn't really feature much until the last 20 minutes or so; for the most part this is an average slasher with a large-ish cast and familiar look and feel.

I should note that as an independent film this has absolutely rubbish kills and effects, laughable in fact. The director seems to realise this because he focuses instead on sexual material, adding nudity to his production and some 'making out' scenes that make the the thing feel like it's going to turn into a porn film any moment, the actors get into it so much. It's very well shot for what it is, especially the middle interlude in the woods, it's just a pity the climax follows such familiar territory.

Beyond garbage

This is a very cheaply done, very poorly written and acted film. Story lacks imagination, filming looks amateurish at best and the acting is worse than you'd see in a high school play. This is what happens when people are allowed to make a film that have little or no experience doing anything like this before. It was so bad that at one point they decided to throw in some nudity, maybe in hopes that anyone watching would keep watching hoping for more. Another movie where there is no character development and what we do see of the characters makes us dislike them enough as to not care when they are killed.

Best part of this disaster is that it is only an hour long. Still not worth the effort.

Warning: Spoilers
The film opens up letting you know it is about a serial killer. In this case the killings are related and center around the workmates of Sarah Snow (Monique Laratt) who is socially awkward to the point of unbelievable. The killings and film goes all over the place. People are suddenly thrust on the screen and killed, only to find out later they were somehow connected to this circle of people.

The plot was nonsense and the characters were not developed. If you are going to use a spring loaded knife prop to kill someone, you need to edit out the loud spring noise, No it doesn't sound like a real knife entering a body. The second thing, if you cover someone with blood in one scene, you can't show them without blood on them a moment later. Occasionally it was "so bad it is good." Thanks for Isabelle Shahira needing to take a shower. The film has a lot of sexual tease.

Guide: F-word, sex, nudity (Isabelle Shahira, Monique Laratt )

Awful beyond comprehension

Horrendously bad movie from beginning to end, with the filming I'm sure was done on a hand held handycam in terrible light without the use of filters. The acting from the cast is so bad I would rather watch reruns of H.R.Puffenstuff,and really wish I had.The plot was weak and had absolutely no development, same goes for the characters. What little FX there were are amatuerish and just plain sad to see.Isabelle Shahira in the fortunatly brief shower is looking an absolute wreck in every way, shape and form. The character of Sarah (Monique Giselle) is the only highlight of this movie and that is only because she displays her cuteness in a nice way at the end, certainly not for her acting ability.IMDB really need to offer a minus rating system for movies like this.Do yourself a favour and stay well away from this one.
