Akiva wakes up with a bang, to find out that Melukha has started redecorating his house. Annoyed about not having been informed, he storms out to camp in his studio.
Shulem takes Melukha's side, encouraging her to proceed with the work and to book for an expensive wedding with lots of guests. Melukha is happy to be in charge and continues looking for a match for Akiva.
Suddenly Shulem remembers that it's the birthday of Dvora, his late wife, and he turns sad. He wants to talk about her, but Melukha doesn't want any of that. Since Akiva left, Shulem goes to chat about Dvora with is his mother.
Back home, Shulem shares a tender moment with Dvora's ghost only to be brought back to reality by Melukha moving too fast into his house and getting ready to dispose of Dvora's clothes. Now it's Shulem's turn to be indignant, just like Akiva felt earlier on.
In his study, Akiva meets a lonely boy with a golden fish and produces a wonderful painting.
Ruchami is temporarily back home and Giti is determined to see her marriage dissolved. What sort of husband abandons his wife? she asks Lipa, who's none too please with the question.
