Redefining the Line: The Making of One Hundred and One Dalmatians (2001)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Highly entertaining documentary takes a look at the making of Disney's ONE HUNDRED AND ONE DALMATIANS and features interviews with animators, historians and Disney experts as they discuss the financial state of Walt Disney at the time of this movie as well as the changes that this film meant for the studio.

If you're a fan of the film then you'll certainly be entertained by this documentary as it tells you all sorts of great information and really gives you a great idea of everything that was going on at Disney during this period. We learn about how SLEEPING BEAUTY wasn't that big of a hit so the studio was trying to come up with something more contemporary and we also learn about the various people who worked on the animation. Not only that but we get to hear the original version of the Cruella De Vil song. At 33 minutes there's a lot of great information packed into this documentary.
