NC History

I grew up in the New Hanover County school system and even studied history for a year at UNCW and was completely ignorant to what happened in 1898. This movie should be shown in the 4th grade classes when they learn NC history. Well done and thank you to everyone involved.

Motivation for a New Generation

This documentary was an eye opener to the travesties that are fading away in the shadows of history and must not be forgotten! The director not only brought light to a blight in history some wish to forget, he also spurred the interest for more Americans to find out what other stories have been hidden.

It is incredible to speak with so many North Carolina residents who never knew something this horrific happened so close to home. It is a must watch for all Americans who wish to undersatnd why our history books should be more inclusive. The truth is in plain sight and the pain of the incident is still felt by the descendants of the terror today.
