There is, sadly, an awful lot to dislike in this episode.The banter and chemistry between Denny and Ash works well, probably better than that between her and Casey, but what do we get?Another scene of Denny messing about with that stupid engagement ring.Can someone please lob it in the sea?
Meanwhile, there's a load of nonsense between Andy and Hannah, with Denny rightly pointing out what a dangerous individual he is, only for them to make out in a hospital room while she's supposed to be working. Is that seriously meant to be a good thing?And the Josh and Evelyn reunion is abruptly derailed by Josh's discovery about Maddy's cancer, which eschews all the scenes that should be there in favour of focusing on one of the show's more childish relationships.
There's a decent scene between Leah and VJ, which features some great banter.But then we get Marilyn being irritating, with John's attitude implied to be wrong but in fact quite correct and Marilyn coming across as an overbearing parent who refuses to admit her child might have faults.
