Best Episode of the Season So Far
mabbott1013 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Admittedly, this starts out weak. The whole, I know you pushed me off a building but, we're family bit was clumsy, & mostly exposition dialogue. But, once they move past establishing Danny's identity, a focus of the first 3 episodes, the seasonal plot finally begins to take shape.

The fight scene in the hallway is good, not great, but a step in the right direction. Henwick's 2nd cage match is also good though, you do question her costume choice given the situation.

Most of all, we finally get to see a bit of the Hand in action. Since they have been a menacing force for this show & Daredevil, it's good to see that even other criminal organizations fear them.

Again, the biggest problem with the episode lies at the center, the lead. He's attractive and all but, I'm still not getting the vibe that this guy has spent the past 15 years practicing & mastering martial arts every day of his life. Should he be a bit more Bruce Lee, or even Jet Li?

Dragon Palm

Warning: Spoilers
Colleen was not a very interesting character in the first episode, and early on it seemed like the show was trying to recapture the magic of Elektra on Daredevil, but now she might be the best thing about the show.

We can't put this show in the same area as the rest of Marvel's programs, but if you just view it as a goofy action show, almost a cheesy 80's flick, you can find some enjoyment. That's what we got here, fight club scenes and then a very brutal scene at a Chinese restaurant.

Blatant lack of consistency and immersiveness
veslerik29 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Joy poisons Danny, and later doesn't seem to mind much that Ward had him sent into a mental institution where he gets heavily drugged and later beaten up by a group of thugs and a mentally ill murderer. Ward later kicks Danny off the window of a scyscraper - which would've realistically killed him if it wasn't for an unreasonable amount of luck. But hey, what does it matter? In this episode, Danny suddenly forgets all about any of it and decides that Joy and Ward are his family and friends, after all.

Oh, and good ol' Harold, who managed to get direct access to surveillance cameras in some psych ward from the comfort of his living room, somehow haven't seen his daughter since she was in her early teens - the same daughter who happens to work in the same building that he lives in. God knows why he hasn't seen her in over a decade, when it's clear that he wouldn't have any issues doing so, if he wanted to. I've come to realize that I shouldn't expect any type of consistency or realism from this show. It can only be enjoyed if you watch it the same way you'd watch a Street Fighter or Mortal Combat movie. I'd argue that even die-hard fans of the Fast and the Furious franchise would raise an eyebrow after watching this show, though.

Average again

Warning: Spoilers
Not a bad episode, just an average one. Finn Jones continues to disappoint both in the fighting and acting stakes but the supporting players are better, particularly the reliable David Wenham. There's more action here with a team of stuntmen doing their thing.

Changed it to a completely different series
Harhaluulo5425 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
In episode one the main character was like. "To understand truth, one must not have opinions."

In this episode he is like. "Right and wrong are moral values which I approve off."

In just 4 episodes, this potentially the best superhero seen in any marvel series ever, turned into another black and white guy with zero understanding on how the world works. Just another liberal "good guy" who does anything because "it is the right thing to do".

I guess the writer of this show had a stroke and turned retarded in between episode 3 and 4 because there is no other way to explain why someone would ruin their series with this nonsense.

U MAD? Yes, indeed. Every show Marvel ever makes is 5/10 at max. This had the potential to be something better for once, but of course they had to ruin it ASAP.
