Exclusive: Films by Petri Kotwica and Jan Prusinovský are among four new titles acquired by Media Luna New Films ahead of next week’s Cannes Marché.
The first new addition to Media Luna’s sales line-up is Petri Kotwica’s Finnish-Irish drama Absolution, starring Laura Birn (A Walk Among The Tombstones), Mari Rantasila and Eero Aho.
Also new to the slate is Dutch filmmaker Joost van Ginkel’s Amsterdam-set drama The Paradise Suite, with Magnus Krepper (The Girl Who Played With Fire), and Slovenian Blaz Zavrsnik’s comedy Juliet And Alfa Romeo.
The final new addition is Czech director Jan Prusinovský’s local box-office hit The Snake Brothers with Kryštof Hádek and Matěj Hádek.
Ida Martins’ Cologne-based outfit is also handling international sales for veteran director Stijn Coninx’s feelgood drama Marina, based on the childhood memories of the Italian-Belgian singer Rocco Granata, which has been selected for the Cannes Écrans Juniors competition this year.

The 26th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (Psiff) has announced its complete line-up including Premieres, New Voices/New Visions and Modern Masters.
All in all 192 films from 65 countries, including 65 premieres (seven world, five international, 20 North American and 33 Us) will screen from January 2-12.
Premieres including Some Kind Of Love (Canada), Don Quixote: The Ingenious Gentleman Of La Mancha (USA) starring James Franco and Twenty-Five Palms from Luxembourg, a documentary about the festival’s quarter-century anniversary.
Among the international premieres are: Accused (Netherlands), The Grandad (Iceland) and Arteholic (Germany), a documentary featuring Udo Kier and Lars von Trier, among others.
The Secret Screening will take place on January 6.

The 2015 Palm Springs International Film Festival will present the world, international, North American or U.S. premieres of films featuring James Franco, Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson, Annette Bening and many others, as well as films directed by Michel Hazanavicius and Peter Bogdanovich, Psiff organizers announced on Thursday.
The festival, which runs from Jan. 2 through Jan. 12 in the desert resort town east of Los Angeles, announced its full lineup, which is made up of 192 films from 65 countries.
