The 2 stars are for the first 5 minutes of this film which admittedly were chillingly good, and so I was excited thinking this was setting up to be a really good independent foreign, edge of your seat horror mystery.
But no. After the introduction, the rest of this garbage was a complete disaster and a travesty.
The acting by every single participant was atrocious, I've see better acting from a 4th grade elementary school assembly production. Not that good acting would have saved the story which was so tortured and confusing. I don't understand how something like this gets made.
The quality was just so bad. Take for example the scene between the commissioner and the marquise, when it ended somehow the filming continued and you can hear the director off camera yell "end scene" or something to that effect. I was like WTF?! What kind of budget are they working with where you don't have proper post production editing?
They took a semi decent story idea and gave it no climax or resolution. There are two timelines involved in the story and the audience is left hanging in both. Not even hanging, the whole thing was just nonsensical. Was this suppose to be some ultra-artsy "oh lets leave everything open ended so the viewer can fill in the holes himself, haha, they're going to love it!"- kind of film?
What was the 5 minutes worth of the main character singing in a nightclub in the end all about? What was the point other than as a showcase for the lead actress's other inept "talent"? Bizarre. That was nearly 10% of the running time of this 57 minute movie!
That was an hour of my life I'm going to wish I can have back in my death bed.
