I gotta say, this movie was AMAZING. No, this is not a fake review. I love crime movies, and I'm very critical of them. A lot of independent crime films have horrible acting. This is NOT one of those. First of all, the storyline was great, and very realistic.. The story is about small town drug dealers, and this is a pretty accurate depiction. These kids behave just like suburban/rural weed dealers, they speak and even dress like them, and they even got the whole clannish and paranoid nature correct. The actors were all great, especially Sean Roberts. The only character who wasn't quite as believable was Richie Garza Jr. (the wannabe thug). Plenty of people like him exist, so the character is good, but not so much the actor. He behaved more like a 90s wannabe gangster than a 2014 one. The only other flaw that I see in this film is occasionally Richie Garza Sr.'s wardrobe. What really made the plot believable is that I have read news stories that involve similar events, even in suburbs and small cities (the drug deal gone wrong, retaliation, young guys in too deep). Check this film out!
