Storyline

It's Anna's birthday and Elsa plans to throw her the perfect surprise party with the help of Kristoff and Olaf. However, after planning the huge party and as Anna is being led on a "party treasure hunt," Elsa finds that she has caught a cold. She starts sneezing and produces a group of small, cute snow people, much like Olaf, with each sneeze. After some near-misses, a very exhausted Elsa finally makes it with Anna to the courtyard where the party has been arranged. It is a big hit, and at last Anna manages to convince Elsa into letting her to lead her to bed and take care of her. Meanwhile, Olaf has taken the tiny snow creatures under his wing and takes them to Elsa's ice castle with the help of Kristoff. Written by shuwey

Trivia

The Roman numerals "MDCCCXL" are displayed on the map at the scene where Elsa sneezes at the bugle horn, making the setting around the year 1840.

Ultimately, based on Jennifer Lee stating that Elsa's birthday happened in the winter solstice, and Anna at the summer solstice, we can truly think of what their exact birthday is. Elsa's birthday is at December 22, 1817 (Monday), and Anna's birthday is at June 21, 1821 (Thursday). See more »

Goofs

In the first scene Sven is standing with four buckets (full of paint) hanging from his antlers. We see Elsa scolding Olaf for eating the cake for a few seconds, and then cut back to Sven: now the buckets have disappeared. It would be logical for Sven to have put them down at this point since Kristoff had just finished painting, but the buckets are nowhere to be seen on the ground or the tables, and Sven and Kristoff were standing too far from the entrance of the castle for either of them to have brought the buckets back inside in that short a time-frame. Crazy Credits

During the Disney logo shown at the end, the shooting star that typically flies over the castle is replaced with a snowbie that jumps over the castle, and if you listen carefully you can hear soft chimes playing the tune of "Do You Want To Build A Snowman?", from the movie. See more »

Cute Short but More of a Money Grab Than Anything Else

Frozen Forever (2015)

** 1/2 (out of 4)

It's Anna's birthday so Elsa, Kris, Olaf and Sven decide to throw her the best party ever but the only problem is that Elsa is coming down with a cold.

It's still rather amazing to think how popular FROZEN has become since it was released. I saw it the second week it was in theaters and found it to be a good entertainment but I never would have thought it would go onto the success it did. There are many theories out there for why it became so popular but it was only natural that the Disney group would follow it up with a sequel (coming soon) and a short to keep things going.

I'm sure I'll get hate mail for this but FROZEN FOREVER is a cute film but to me it just sang dollar signs the entire seven-minutes. What's we've got here is basically a music video for "Making Today a Perfect Day," which takes up the majority of the running time. Again, the short is cute but to me it's just Disney trying to make this a hit song and there's not too much else to the short.

It contains some funny moments scattered throughout with most of them aimed at Olaf and his silliness. The highlights of the film are the little snow babies, which I'm sure will be huge sellers whenever they're released (possibly in the sequel?). The animation is strong like you'd expect it to be but there's just really not too much here. For a music video it's cute but overall this thing falls well short of a Disney classic.
