Better than a sleeping pill!

Nobody wrote a plot on the page and its is sure easy to see why:you discover ,on screen ,that there is no plot ,that absolutely no one can act . Diction is approximative and sometimes they just mumble.

A guitarist meets a violonist in a"lavomatic" (a laundromat in US ,a launderette in UK );they begin to sing and play ,soon to be joined by other people ; a tramp claims the place to sleep and he is soon won over by the musicians' talent.

For the movie is essentially a musical : all the songs but one (in Arab ???) are in English ,some vague folk style, undistinguished and boring in the long run .A little piece of advice: French singers,do sing in French ! the great French-speaking songwriters (Jacques Brel, Serge Gainsbourg,to name but two) wrote in their first language .Fail to do this, and one can guarantee that in the 21st century ,the Chanson Française will be pronounced dead.

Apart from the endless concert in the "lavomatic" , there's also full frontal nudity (male and female), a run in the nude in the streets , an accident , a guy bedridden in a gloomy hospital , and an executives meeting where Joaquim ,the hero, is considered a computer whizz.

So long ,and no regrets!
