As Mamoru reveals himself to Usagi, Queen Beryl reveals herself to the Sailor Guardians.

Warning: Spoilers
As I've probably said before, in my endless comparison to the 90s adaption, there is truly this sense of depth, when it comes to the characters, which separates the original Sailor Moon to Crystal. Something which has been seen in nearly every character's introduction, and in this episode with Usagi. For while she may call herself a crybaby, more often than not she seems to more so be unsure of herself, and her abilities, than a cry baby. Leading to her character seeming a bit more complex than who she was in the original. Especially this early on.

Topic 1: We Met Once Upon a Dream – Mamoru & Usagi

Both Mamoru and Usagi keep having the same reoccurring dream of when the Moon Kingdom was at war. However, one specific detail is missing in both of their dreams: each other. Mamoru is unsure who is the woman calling out to him, and Usagi is unsure who the knight is protecting her. However, each time they bump into each other, with every glance, and every moment in each other's space, there is the oddest feeling. Something which Makoto picks up on and teases Usagi a bit about. For with Usagi knowing Mamoru's name, and blushing when talking about him, Makoto has Usagi pegged.

Topic 2: Tuxedo Mask's Announcement – Mamoru, Zoisite, Queen Beryl, and Usagi

But while Makoto has Usagi pegged, no one has Tuxedo Mask pegged at all. For with his announcement that he is looking for the Silver Crystal being broad casted on television, and the Dark Kingdom deciding to use his tactic to serve their cause, it leads everyone to wonder whose side he is on? For while he has saved Usagi countless of times, he wants the same thing they do for reasons unknown to them. And while Luna seems to have most of her memories of the Moon kingdom intact, she strangely doesn't recognize Mamoru.

However, Usagi utterly refuses to believe Tuxedo Mask can be their enemy and the mere accusation upsets her to the point of running away from Luna secret lab, under the arcade, and outside to where Zoisite has begun collecting human energy through a TV tower. Something which affects her to the point of nearly fainting, but then Tuxedo Mask saves her. And while Usagi and Tuxedo Mask talk about various topics, such as her insecurity of being the leader of a team who has no magical power of her own, or him apologizing for causing all this chaos, the rest of the guardians face off against Zoisite and eventually Queen Beryl.

Thus leading Usagi, with Tuxedo Mask's encouragement, to find her inner strength, transform into Sailor Moon, and wield the Moon Stick to fend off Queen Beryl.

Topic 3: Behind the Mask – Usagi and Mamoru

Leaving us with a very tired Usagi, for the power of the Moon Stick maybe too much for her right now, being taken to Mamoru's home. There he reveals himself as the man behind the mask and it seems the pieces of Usagi's dream are slowly coming together.
