In this film, the Pathé Frères show us the flight of an aeroplane and give us an idea of the collisions we can expect, when air ships will be in vogue. It is not only a very interesting film but a very amusing one, and greatly pleased the audience. The chase of the headless omnibus passengers could be omitted without injuring the production, as it is easy to see that the passengers have not been decapitated but are merely covering their heads. The last scene in which the aviator reconstructs himself and returns to life, is one of those clever trick scenes for which the "Rooster" trade mark is so well known. – The Moving Picture World, February 27, 1909
