PERFECT example of Robt Irvine the bully & poser
jeffdstockton29 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Irvine asserts that he can save failing, desperate restaurant owners IF they'll follow his orders. He asserts he's a successful restaurateur, but he's already been caught in lies about his experience. At this point, he's trying to convince the network to give him a talk/ help show, similar to Dr Phil. Dr Phil is bad enough, but this poser has no qualifications, and obviously no skills to help people and relationships. He finally got a very short-run tryout, and failed.

In this episode, the Bully is focused on 'saving this marriage'. He bullies a husband who is actively supporting the family by working full-time as. TEACHER. Irvine accuses him of not being supportive because he (the husband) isn't working in the restaurant full-time. This one fails, too, like most, and customers criticized everything fron the new decor and menu, to the unresolved filth issues. Irvine accomplished NOTHING.

The wife owner is lost in fantasy-land. She has no business owning a restaurant.

His tactics, as usual are to NOT listen empathetically, and to yell and bully the targets (including the builder and designer who he always says 'help home realize HIS vision' for the restaurant).

He also says, here and elsewhere, that his success rate is very high (~76%). That's absolute BS: look around online, and you'll see that the HUGE majority of his victims fails with 1-3 years.

The premise of this SHOW is BS, to begin with. They solicit the most desperate owners, then purport to come in for 2 days and turn it all around, while redecorating with cheap, junkshop trash. And the same HGTV blue paint...

This is NO way to 'help' anyone. Irvine yells at his victims about 'leadership', but he has only one concept of that - to threaten and bully employees - AND he exhibits no real model of leadership in his interaction with the crew who accompany him to these projects. Irvine would NEVER last as restaurant owner or chef, and he CERTAINLY wouldn't make it as a consultant, which is what he's pretending to be on this program. No one would pay this a$$hole to come in be a bully. He also has no imagination, and only a very limited set of 'tools' to use as he repeats EXACTLY the same schtick over every eoisode.

Keep in mind that this all for entertainment, not for truly trying to save a restaurant. Irvine has his agenda of being a wannabe personal celebrity counselor. He's not good at ANYTHING.

I hope some finally confronts the reality of this horrible show, in that it's dependent on the most desperate of people in the most dire circumstances. And, they're set up to bullied, and say 'Thanl you' for the abuse and charade.

It's disgusting.
