Deathstroke Arkham Assassin: Brilliant
Platypuschow25 January 2018
The mercenary team sent by Black Mask to kill Batman failed, they hand the money in and admit defeat but the villian isn't happy. Thankfully there is a new contender as Deathstroke offers his services, but before he's allowed the contract he must prove himself.

This eight minute short looks like a Hollywood movie, minimal dialogue and mostly action it succeeds in telling a story in the small time it has and does it well.

The action is gory and over the top and quite frankly that is the way it should be especially with a character like Deathstroke.

Both he and Blackmask look fantastic and whoever made this needs to be brought in to improve the already waning DC universe.

Really impressive stuff.

The Good:

Looks great

Accomplishes everything it sets out to

The Bad:

Nothing springs to mind

Things I Learnt From This Movie:

I'm not entirely sure that constitutes as unarmed

Presentation of two villains

Warning: Spoilers
"Deathstroke: Arkham Assassin" is an 8-minute live action short film from two years ago. This one was made by Chris White, Larry White (brothers?) and Alex Teston. It is fairly short, but is a case of two-in-one as you see Black Mask in here and he creates somewhat of a casting who would be the best to eliminate Batman. The winner is Deathstroke (big spoiler huh?) and that's when the film ends already. We see no Batman in here and we also don't about the two villains' plans when it comes to tackling Batman. That's what it is. Visually, it is fine, but it is really very action-reliant and the story component is neglected mostly. The good thing is that you see new characters that are not too famous to non-comic buffs, probably because these two have not been feature really in the films. As a whole, a good watch for huge Batman and comic book film fans, but everybody else can skip it.
