Bohemianism, NOT WW2
CanadianCanard8 April 2022
What had the writers bagan smoking... Regardless...abrupt left turn season 5.

Sadly this season fell to absurdity. Resistance members of that day may not have had weapons, but at the least they had plans. This episode crossed a line with naive, stupid, effeminate and entitled boys holding rehersals for a play production (really!)...in the middle of the woods!!! In the middle of WW2!!! And while hiding for months on end, they survive with no money, no food, no lodging but are well groomed, dressed and maintain good physique. They are passionate boys, not about the occupation or communism, but about romantic relationships. And this season includes homosexuality with a most queer portrayal.

Pushed to the background are the best (and they are excellent) actors and more appropriate plots of that era. Most of them simply spew out their lines with only a millisecond between interactions.

So with regard to historical research for this show, were any of the new writers around in the last century? Or did they use only imagination based on their own entitled lives?

I recommend the fast forward button if your curiosity mandates you finish the series.
