30 for 30 Short: Untucked (2014)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Interesting documentary about Al McGuire who gave permission for his player Bo Ellis to create the uniforms that would be used at Marquette. There are interviews with several of the Marquette players who talks about the different style that McGuire was as a coach and why this eventually led to a certain style at the school. This includes the jerseys that Ellis designed and in particular the one where it would be worn untucked. Of course, as basketball fans now know, an untucked jersey is not allowed in the game and there are opinions given here that this rule was done against Marquette because other coaches felt it gave them an advantage when it came to recruiting. Overall this is another very entertaining short and it really gives one a great idea of how different the school and coach was and especially during one story were Ellis was allowed to attend another school. The interviews are fun to listen to and you get a complete idea of what was going on at the school and how they ended up winning a NCAA Championship.
