With a party at The Fosters, since Lena and Stef are having a "Babymoon," things get a little out of hand.

Warning: Spoilers
The main focus of this episode deals with how relationships evolve as time goes on. With that, we see Callie and Brandon begin to get comfortable in considering each other brother and sister as they move onto Wyatt and Lucy, respectively. Though, I should note, the Lucy thing isn't official yet. But like with Mariana and Matt, it seems like every interaction is foreshadowing a relationship. And it seems with everyone in the family we are teased of a prospective romance, or something happening. Even with Jude and Connor!

Topic 1: After the Honeymoon – Stef and Lena

As we have seen throughout the series, and I've commented on multiple times, as much as Stef and Lena say they are in love, there always is this weird distance. When the show first started I attributed this to neither actress, to my knowledge, being lesbian and perhaps having a difficult time adapting to the idea of being intimate with another woman. And, I think, the writers have recognized this and used it to fuel marital issues between the two. One issue in particular, lack of intimacy and communication, has long been an issue between Stef and Lena. And when they decide to have a "Babymoon," since once the baby is born they won't have the ability to just go away for a night, it seems all their time alone does is force them to deal with their issues. Making for a less than ideal one night vacation.

And honestly, while I love them as a couple, and dare said I idolize them, I do honestly feel sometimes we are one major incident away from them separating. Also, I sometimes think having all these kids is sort of the main thing keeping them together. Especially since that is what Stef mostly wanted to focus on when alone with Lena.

Topic 2: Kiss Me – Jude and Jesus

Maddy, the girl who has crush on Jude, returns and comes with her friend who wants to play spin the bottle. Something Jude tries to stop, but with Connor sneaking out the house, and trying to recover from what he said to Jude last episode, he ends up giving Maddy's friend the justification she needs for the game to happen. With this, as you'd expect, the game eventually leads to Connor and Jude almost kissing. However, before the moment where Jude and Connor may end up like Amy and Karma (on Faking It), Callie interrupts for Connor's dad is looking for him and they got to sneak Connor out.

As for Jesus, since Emma seems to have truly broken up with him, and Jesus not being one who likes to remain single for long, he ends up finding one of the girls on Mariana's dance team as his next potential girlfriend. For, as hinted in the season premiere, he finds them very attractive, and luckily for him Kaylee just broke up with her boyfriend. Then, to my surprise, after some chatting, he has sex with her. But don't think he is just going to hit it and quit it. It seems he wants a relationship, and with this I hope Kaylee becomes more interesting as we get to know her.

Topic 3: Not What I Expected – Mariana, Brandon & Lucy

Speaking of Mariana's dance team, despite getting better at routines, it seems she is still largely ostracized. The girls hang out without her, practice without her, and with Zach and Lexi gone, Mariana seems as if all she may have is her family. So when Brandon talks about throwing a small get together, naturally Mariana tries to turn it into a party to win the girls over. Unfortunately though, all that happens is Caitlin getting drunk and puking on Stef and Lena's bed, and Mariana watching the girls break this "Code of Excellence" Caitlin made up. Though Matt is the saving grace of the night for he helps cheer her up a little before the party is officially over.

As for Brandon and Lucy, those two butt heads hard as Lucy's stubbornness meets Brandon's critiques. For, as we heard her say last episode, she sees Brandon as such a square due to his classical music background, and things get worse because she feels he is intruding on something which is her's. In fact, before the would-be set which this whole party is about, she walks away since Brandon upsets her. She doesn't leave fully though, in fact she ends up going to his room to maybe understand him better. Thus leading to Callie breaking down how Brandon is more than what Lucy sees. So with Lucy learning about how good Brandon was until his hand was shattered, and him probably needing them to validate his talent more than they need him, Lucy changes her tone and even sings a set with Brandon.

And oh this leads to such a sweet moment where Callie watches them sing together and you can see she is happy for him. Vocally because he is back into music, but I think also happy because she has Wyatt to rely on and now Brandon may have Lucy. Though perhaps Wyatt may not be the ideal person to rely on. For while he certainly is the best boyfriend a girl can have, like him helping to keep people out of the house so nothing breaks, he does overestimate his abilities. I say this because the swing on the porch ends up busting a glass window and Wyatt says he can fix it. Thing is, his summer job working in construction didn't make it so his work of putting in a new window could withstand a closing door. So while you think the kids got away with the busted window, a slammed door lets Lena and Stef know what went down. And that is where the episode ends.
