Trivia The Villisca Axe Murders were committed on June 9, 1912 in the southwestern town of Villisca, Iowa. The six members of the Moore family and two guests were all found bludgeoned with head wounds due to an axe. While authorities had several suspects--some tried and acquitted--the case remains unsolved today. See more »
Goofs The song "Paper Doll" is played repeatedly throughout the movie, and first heard in the opening scene which takes place in 1912. The song, however, was not written until 1915 (and not recorded until later). See more »
