You know, I actually love it a lot. It has the perfect but most satisfying combination of realism and escapism. It projected all of the stages of grief, especially forgiveness and acceptance, including the aspect of change. I hated Mustafa from the start; I despised how he was until I saw how he changed for the girl he loves years later. I am convinced that it started off with attraction before it led him to obsession and attachment issues. But at least he learned how to love and be in a world full of it. Because if he hadn't, he wouldn't have accepted Inci's rejections. And you know what? He is pretty much the type of man who'd be willing to do anything for the woman he loves. Literally anything. He became a good man, I can tell. But he and Inci were never meant to be together. It's evident they were just meant to be good companions, like family, but not anything further. I just hope that he finds the woman for him one day. As for Mert's parents, the dad's character development was quite surprising, and the mom eventually learned how to forgive and leave the past behind. They learned how to love, even with Mert's brother's new wife. Everyone had their own character developments, whether villains or heroes. It wasn't just about the main characters; it's also about the rest of them. I did quite despise how quick the last episode went. Like, I needed more of Inci and Mert's story, but instead, the production decided to be like, "Oh, let's head on." Like, I have so many questions. Turkish shows often have tons of episodes that each last for 1 to 2 hours every single time. Why can't they just do that? What? Just because Mustafa left, or they ran out of script? Like, tell me the rest of what happened to Inci and Mert, what ending Mustafa gets, how Mert's parents and brother and sister-in-law had successful romantic relationships, how Mert and his daughter's relationship developed, like, bro! The production literally forgot how Inci and Mert were the main characters that they cut off everything and headed to the conclusion quickly. I was about to rate it a 10 out of 10. But sorry, 8 out of 10 it is. I do love them, though. It's kind of a question too, what happened to Inci and Mert's schoolmates and Inci's best friend. They were adorable. Also, that! Why didn't they give us the story of how they fell in love? Like, I needed every detail, bro. Still hoping for a season 2, though.

You know, I despise how everyone just starts hating on Mert. From the very beginning, it's clear that neither of them wanted a child at all. Inci attempted abortion and even took pills despite knowing the risks, as it is illegal in their country. Yes, Mert went to America, but it was because his mother encouraged him to. He didn't want to be a father yet because of how abusive and toxic his father is, and he was afraid of what he might do to Inci and if he'd become like his father. It has been stated several times in the film that he attempted to come back earlier because he loves Inci but had no lead because his mother searched for many loopholes to keep them apart. Destiny had to do its thing and brought Mert and Inci back together in the end. People need to be more open-minded about each character in the show before actually judging them. It's so disappointing. People need to wake up to the fact that, from the very beginning, Mustafa was toxically and emotionally obsessed with Inci. He harassed her, insulted her because she wasn't as "into" him as he was "into" her, and endlessly stalked her from the first to the final episode. He even stabbed her father. Mustafa admitted himself that he apologized only to capture Inci's heart and marry her. Even Inci herself, along with every single member of her family, was already telling Mustafa to leave them alone, especially after the violence that occurred and his disrespectful, harassing behavior towards their family, including stabbing her father. But still, he didn't leave them alone, which just adds to the reasons that he is truly obsessed. If you genuinely love someone, it wouldn't even reach that point, and you would be willing to make sacrifices, not force yourself upon someone. That's straight-up disrespect. He chose violence to the extent that he even considered killing Mert with a gun, which we can't even tell if he had a license for. Wake up! He wasn't in love with her, perhaps later on during the "seven years later" period. Hell, she wasn't even entertaining him because she was in love with someone else and was barely interested in him. They weren't even close friends; he was obviously just obsessed with her to the point of having a fantasy-prone disorder, thinking, "Oh, I'd marry her.". In the end, before the "seven years later," he took the opportunity and grabbed it just to capture her heart. Yes, I adored how he changed and loved him for the things he sacrificed for Inci and how he stood up as the father for her daughter. But it doesn't change the fact that it was due to attachment issues and obsession, as I've said endlessly. I was ready to defend him, even choose him perhaps, until he became overly possessive over Inci, stalking her every chance he got. It's so uncomfortable, whether fiction or non-fiction. He even brought a gun with the intention of murdering the father and the beloved man of his so-called "my most beloved Inci and Masal." I'm just glad he didn't do it. I am convinced that his attachment issues and obsession changed. He did fall in love with Inci eventually and proved it each time, up until the very end, which I really appreciated about him. Love truly is related to making sacrifices if you truly love someone. He proves that. I just despise the fact that people are overly judgmental without seeing more of the characters. What? They forgave Mustafa, but they couldn't forgive Mert? All of them made mistakes, including Inci. None of them wanted any of what happened; everything was just meant to happen. Mert was intended to go to America to study for college, which is why he didn't return to his home country sooner, making things more complicated. Many people and many things interfered. All the characters had mistakes of their own; they just need to be understood.

Ridiculous story

A ridiculous story, why is it worth 8.8 here? First, even though Inci insists that she doesn't love Mustofa, they have slept in the same bed for 7 years, stupid. Second, Inci's job is a doctor, but why is he stupid and poor? Third, it seems like this series ended in episode 7 forcefully, the last 10 minutes were a forced ending. I love that the actors are good, it's such a waste that they don't get good drama productions. Turkish dramas seem to lack good authors, many of the stories are very strange in this modern era. Stupidity, violence, and exploitation of women are still common in Turkish dramas.

Ridiculous ending

Warning: Spoilers
The story had potential even if it had a sudden, rushed ending. The idea of a woman leaving a man who had treated her illegitimate child as his own and helped raise her for seven years only to go for the child's father (her teenage crush), with whom she had no contact for seven years or an actual relationship, just shows lazy story-writing. Even animals can build relationships in a short span of time, you would have to be a really rotten person to not have any sort of regard for someone who married you to help overcome your personal issues. Also, how do you find common ground with someone who played no part in your or your child's life, no matter what his situation had been? Mustafa was a waste of a good character. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and quickly became loveable. Glad it's ended though, wouldn't have been able to watch the direction it was going.
