Charming

Charming. Not exactly for itself - it is a well crafted animation , off course- but for the resurrection of the memories about childhood games, toys, invented stories with Teddy bears, elephants, cats and tigers, flexible bad monkeys and tough wars. Many cultural references , inspired solutions for action - mistery film and the feeling of viewer to be character of the war. So, just charming.

Bear vs. Monkey

Warning: Spoilers
There are actually three "Mega Plush" shorts so far, though here on the internet movie database only one of them was registered.

I assume the episode registered here must be the first one, featuring a punisher teddy bear hunting down a sock monkey.

In general, it's a pretty cool webseries, which does a much better job subverting a childish aesthetic with a dark, adult plot than stuff like Sausage Party or Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.

In some ways, it reminds me to Killer Bean Forever, in the sense that, despite the childish aesthetic and some hints of humor, the plot takes itself very seriously.

Personally, I think it works well as a gritty parody of many action flick cliches, particularly in the way female characters are depicted.

Apparently a fourth episode was going to be produced, introducing a new main character (A gorilla plush, according to the description given in the Patreon video) but there haven't been any news about this project for a while.

Hope the series continues, or even better, I hope it gets turned into a feature lenght film. The premise is fun and has a lot of potential.
