If you told me this was a 2010 drama I would easily believe you. You just can't get away with this in 2024 UNFORTUNATELY, I fear the dramas like Secret Garden are forever gone. Dramas that are so bad they're good, dramas that dabble in makjang but more for the campiness of it all. This drama was hilarious to me! Of course, it's not a consistent laugh the whole way-that is kdrama-there's death, grief, crying, traumatic childhoods, bad parents, scamming, the whole thing! In reality this drama is from 2017 (but weirdly aired 2021??) so its tonality and quality is much more like another icon of that birth year, 'My Secret Romance.' Sung Hoon and Sung Joon, Sung Sung couple?? Maybe that's why they're iconic 🤣 I think watch it without any expectations, AND with your 2010 kdrama watching cap on meaning that yes expect cringe kinda problematic stuff here and there but also a lot of heart to these very traumatized characters. The leads are fun together and have a lot of chemistry. And the side characters are bonkers and get a lot of airtime, you WILL know what is up with the parents and the best friends and the random brother. Sung Joon I will remember your name forever just like the bartender!

I really enjoyed the drama, and I don't understand why its rating is so low.
The apparent drama begins and is defined as a comedic drama, although it has comedic parts but at the same time it has messages on so many topics such as dealing with breast cancer, self-esteem, fulfilling dreams, emotional abuse, the cost of living, fraud, escaping from reality through excessive drinking, Choosing between family and coolness. And how much love and honesty can heal the soul.
Great chemistry between the leads and perfect casting of the other actors A great soundtrack, definitely a recommended drama For me, her rating is 10/10.
