VERY STUPID MOVIE . Waste 90 Mins of my life on this crap . Bad acting,there is no story just bunch of detectives with cameras searching for a serial killer which later become something else i don't really understand this movie . I had the feeling form the beginning of the movie that is a bad movie, but i kept watching hoping the story getting better .
This movie is the worst movie i have ever seen in my whole life .
don't waste your time .

It's like the creators of this movie told all of their friends to give this movie a 10. Don't believe the skewed results. Boring, bad acting, with so many thing I hate about indie movies. I would've stopped watching after the first 8 minutes but a friend lent it to me so I felt compelled. I wouldn't have bothered to give a review if the rating was anywhere near accurate. But it isn't. This movie is brutal to watch. Took me 4 sittings to get through it.

The action is unreal! From the reviews I was reading I thought it was supposed to be a smaller budget film.. Freakin A they killed it with the action. Im a huge action junkie and haven't seen anything like this in a long time. Im wondering if there are any other movies with either the lead actor or the action choreographer. If anyone else could comment to let me know that would be great. Looking for more films like this but there isn't any info online. The film is too good to be the only one put out by these guys. Definitely worth a couple watches. Great flick. I got mine from amazon but wish I could have seen it in an actual theater. Struck me as my kind of film and I was dead on. Great Friday night movie. Its got the thriller elements with some awesome action you'll doubtfully see in another film anytime soon.

Can't really add much to the reviews already posted, so I'll break it down:
STORY - Unique and intriguing Crime Drama/Horror.
SCREENPLAY - This film has very little dialogue and what is there has very little continuity. Action and scene structure adds to the disjointed feel.
DIRECTING - This where it gets weird. LOTS of random shots separated by "fade to black". Many of which do nothing to move the story forward. Comes across as an art project as opposed to a feature film.
CINEMATOGRAPHY - This is where this film shines. Beautiful scenes, great locations. Fix the issues noted above to make the most of this.
ACTING - Actors were okay given the dialogue they had to work with. However, the sound was odd and monotone. Sounded almost like voice-over in an anime. This didn't help with the delivery of the few lines they had. Hence, they come across as wooden.
ACTION/FX - Very good (when there is some) and well choreographed, but you have to wait for the final 15 minutes to really see any of it.
All that said, it kept my interest enough that I watched through the end.

Found this movie when I was looking for something to watch . Like any movie it has it slow parts but has plenty of action as well. If you stopped watching halfway through then you missed the best part because I really enjoyed the last 30 mins or more and it seems like a lot of the reviews that are negative maybe didn't give the movie a chance. The end of the movie had lots of action, caught me be surprise and has you rooting for the main character as well. I will say I am happy with my rental and would recommend this movie.

This movie was absolutely fantastic! I couldn't turn away! It kept moving and literally had me waiting to see what came next. The acting was incredible, the martial arts were choreographed perfectly and there was just the right amount action!

Great movie! Enjoyed the intensity of it... the action scenes kept me riveted to the movie and on the edge of my seat.
Cinematography was awesome as well.
I got to see it at it's Premier on the big screen in Randolph, MA.
Brought some friends with me and we all loved it.
We all remarked on all the work that had to have been put into the making of this.
I'm giving it a 10.
The guy who made this obviously has a good eye for detail and entertaining his audience.
Hope he continues.

"Dark Disciple" is also a testament to what can be accomplished if you don't quit. As I couldn't afford film school, so I trained for years on the side. We only had a four person core production crew so we worked extra hard to take up the slack. We had a limited budget so we determined that what we lacked in finances we made up for with good, old fashioned ingenuity, (building our own dolly, crane, steady-cam, studio lights, sets and unique theatrical weapons).

I've always thought that when it comes to inspirational or movies with faith themes, people get confused about the difference between "Sinful Content" and "Genre". They are not the same thing. It seems that whenever the faith-based community wants to do anything that would be considered an action film it has to be an End Times thriller. And I have never understand why. Their are Soilders who are Christian, there are cops who are Christian, all of who are brave men and are our last line of defense. So why can't the Christian community make a movie about these brave men. In my opinion Alan Caggiano just did! I can only hope he does it again.

I was totally amazed by this film. The fact that one person could conceive it, write it , direct it and act in it....is a feat of pure genius. I wish I could have attended the premier in Boston as I would have liked to see the reactions of those who did attend. The scenery was wonderful and the acting was first rate. The fact that it was filmed in Massachusetts added to my experience as a former native.I was immediately drawn in.I can only say this is a MUST SEE. I will not give anything away. I hope this independent film gets all the accolades and attention it rightly deserves. KUDOS to Alan Caggiano. You deserve yo go all the way with this body of work.

Saw it, loved it. Yea it's an indie film but it knocks it outa the park. Beats most studio films for excitement factor. That's all I really want to say but I gotta keep writing for this to get listed so I guess I'll expound.
The acting was good, the camera work very good, the overall quality was pretty good, but the story, action and villain were excellent.
The action scenes were some of the best I've ever seen. The fight coordinator obviously was world class with some special training. I definitely want to see more from them.
I'm out.

What in exceptional film! So many layers of quality that is almost non-existent in 90% of films.
Not only was I blown away by the action, but by the atmosphere created by the producer. I'm tired of the New York and LA backdrop. Finally a film that gives a new feel, i. e. New England. even the harbors are unlike anything else you'll see in the world.
Action thrillers come and go, but I feel this one will be a keeper.
Forget the hundred million dollar cakes with no sugar. This is pure homegrown excellence!
I hope there will be a sequel!!!

This has to be one of the best movies I've seen in a long time! The familiar scenery in Massachusetts was a big plus. This movie is from independent filmmaker Allan Caggiano, but unless you know that, it is the same as any Hollywood feature film! I don't know how he was able to do this on an independent budget but he definitely pulled it off.
The action scenes, original ideas and story line, characters and the villain, Dark Disciple, all came together and kept me riveted through the whole movie. There are action scenes I've never seen before, and really scary moments that aren't expected. It's a good story too (I'd tell you but you'll have to see for yourself!)

Enter the first iconic villain of the decade, a menacing character called the Dark Disciple. Combining a spectacular display of original weapons and martial arts, "Dark Disciple" unfolds in the small fishing town of Laresett. The villain keeps local law enforcement busy while imparting his unique brand of terror on the unsuspecting populace, all to cover up a deeper motive. Lots of WOW moments! and outstanding action.
My first impression was "scary action film"... but twenty minutes in and it became apparent that this was something different. There was a "feel" about the film that gave you that "movie" experience again. Like the way movies use to be.
Hollywood is good at making great "looking" films, with no substance. This film has a good look and GREAT substance. Like one viewer said "I saw things in this film I've never seen before!"

Saw this movie 3 times and I rarely ever see a movie twice! Tt was excellent! Great plot, Good vs Evil! Superb acting, it wasn't until the 2nd time I saw it that I realized some of the actors played several roles! My favorite part was when the Detective who lost his family to a drunk driver awakens to life around him and decides to get back in the game of life transforming himself into the person he once was by getting back into shape, mentally and physically! This was a Thriller that kept us on the edge of our seats! Music was outstanding and contributed to the suspense.We were entertained which is what we want to be when we go to the movies. We hope to see more from this talented producer.

I saw this film, knowing it was not super high budget but can honestly say it beats almost EVERY high budget Hollywood film I've seen in the past few years! I'm so sick of pathetic, star studded films that are crap. It is refreshing to watch something that has more under the hood than meets the eye.
That troll who wrote; "stupid" one star, is either stupid himself, or has a vested interest in trashing this film. Read his review and laugh at how he goes out of his way to try and make us think it's the worst film he has ever seen. Don't insult our intelligence! Clearly, he has never seen Pippi Longstockings. LOL
Seriously though, this movie really Rocks... It starts out slow and really ramps up to an incredible third act!!! It is one of the best movies I've seen in years and is quite possibly the best indie film I have ever seen.
