This short film documents the changes to the Lea Valley, a dilapidated area in East London, in the seven years leading up to the 2012 London Olympics.
In a space of just ten minutes, we are presented with many visually stunning scenes. For example, a scene featuring two pairs of shoes hanging on a wire, with a plane darting through the sky is quite amazing. Another scene depicts a warehouse with a rat sprinting across the yard. And graffiti representing polar opposite opinions shown right after another. I wonder how long they have to search and wait for these scenes to happen! The transformation of the Lea Valley is quite amazing, as the poorly maintained, abandoned buildings are replaced by modern and architecturally splendid buildings.
