Robin Hood: The Early Years Warning: Spoilers
Oh my, Lady Marian will not be amused. Apparently, her man had another woman when he traveled to 21st century Germany before his big adventures began. Actually, if they had done this as a 100% comedy movie without taking itself so seriously many times, this may not have been so bad, maybe also possibly worked, but all the rubbish they included here destroyed this film. The worst thing is the love story I mentioned, another aspect would be the professional references in terms of money, selling etc. The quality (or lack thereof) becomes obvious very early when the main characters best friend insults a private equity firm as a bunch of criminals. This film is entertainment only for simple people, who do not prefer to really think about movies in depth. And by the way, why do the best friends to female characters in these kinds of movies always suck. Always cringeworthy writing and terrible acting when it comes to these. Apartg from her, this applies to the daughter as well. Badly written and I saw the actress plays the lead character in the theatrical release "Ostwind". I did not remember her being equally bad there, so maybe it is really just the script. The two protagonists are played by Nadja Becker and Pasquale Aleardi. These two names are synonyms for weak television work. They both have the looks, but not the talent to carry films convincingly, although I have to say Aleardi here did a decent job occasionally, at least in terms of comedy.

The music in this movie was a disaster too, completely over-the-top with one exception: Bird York's "In the Deep". The filmmakers behind this 90-minute television movie from 1.5 years ago should be ashamed. They have really prolific bodies of work and this is all they can come up with? Embarrassing and I guess most of their previous works sucked equally. I won't go a lot into detail, but while a comedic scene here and there worked, there were at least as many scenes that did not work at all and were really embarrassing and cringeworthy. Last mention goes to André Röhner who played his part okay I believe. But he couldn't save this entire mess and right when i thought things cannot get much worse, they prove me wrong and include an absolutely ridiculous ending where the Robin Hood character suddenly movies in randomly next door as his future self. Literally, this scene destroyed everything that happened in the 90 minutes before it. What a failure of a film.
