Beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.

I enjoyed this journey in Aix-en-Provence: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.

There are some interesting aspects of this region: the architectural heritage (Frédéric Paul and the discovery of insolite places-the backyard and the cathedral-,Véronique Kadri and the restoration of her mansion, now guesthouse), the hiking and the discovery of aromatic and medicinal plants ( Stéphane Cataneo and Antoine Verdier, the everlasting flower or curry plant-Helichrysum stoechas-), the bio production of aromatic plants. (Gabin Rey, the harvest of lemon verbena, the preparation of aromatic leaves), the chef Pierre Reboul (the restaurant of the Chateau de la Pioline, the use of local products), Philippe Titone and the workshops about ochre (the ochre quarries, the painting with ochre), Amandine and Laura Roussier and the growing of Persicaria tinctoria-Japanese indigo, (the preparation of the indigo), Laëticia Costechareyre, the dyer using indigo (the shibori technique), the geologist Jérôme Ségard explaining the geological story of the Mount Sainte-Victoire, Thierry Tortosa and the investigation about the dinosaurs in the region, the fountains of Aix-en-Provence (La fontaine de la Rotonde, la Fontaine aux quatre dauphins), the staircases in the mansions, the Hotel of Chateau-Renard with its frescoes, -the restoration of the frescoes-), the castle of "La Mignarde" (Sabine Secchiari telling the story of Pauline Bonaparte), and Jacky Chabert the painter and the life of Paul Cézanne in Aix- the 80 paintings of the Mount Sainte-Victoire-, Cézanne and the modern art).

I enjoyed the encounters of Ismaël with Magali Fleurquin-Bonnard , the perfumer , with Marina Panaïas, the florist, with Pierre Gignoux and Maria Lopes (the calissons shop), with Stéphane Spitzglous in Le Tholonet(the tasting of rosé wine, with Elodie Genre (the bubble room), with Béa, Loïc and Camille (paragliding), with the chef Dan Bessoudo ( the fig tree of Ventabren, the watermelons, eggplants and fig tree leaves cooked in an oven),with Fanny Fenouil (the bio producer of vegetables), with Eric Loisyl (the motorcycle with side-car and the quarries of Bibemus) and with Mylène Margail (the guide of the quarries of Bibemus); nice encounters with very kind men and women.
