The danger with going back to a franchise as beloved as this one is that the expectations get higher every time you do.
I think based on this second episode that 'The Santa Clauses' would have worked better as either a one year thing, or as a film, because the quality has dipped quite a bit.
I don't really care for the storyline, or the whole "Sandra has powers" angle they are going with. Eric Stonestreet is a bit of an acquired taste at the best of times, and when let loose he can be very annoying. This is the proof.
Overall, this hasn't become a bad show, but this felt already like a filler episode, and is repeating lots of plot points for the sake of it.
