Independent films are generally better than big-budget enterprises: by virtue of the fact that they explore the characters within. This one is no exception.
While far from perfection (the script maybe could've been better - but who am I to suggest improvements?), it was well-paced and featured some wonderful photography. Well acted too: to the best of my knowledge they are all unknowns and some have bright futures. The director steered the film adequately and we can probably expect more from him in the future... A refreshing effort in this seemingly unstoppable wave of big-budget crap...Also a fine reminder that stories don't need to be overly complex...
