Bad Things

Warning: Spoilers
Giving Muncy the spotlight for a change, and letting her be a true cop in both showing vulnerability and following the letter of the law, was a smart move. For too often this season she has been the punching bag of the cast, with some ridiculous comments about her wardrobe from Olivia, but they presented her in the right light here: young and learning, but still able to make a difference.

Not sure how Elias was able to break free of his restraints and smash a window, but it has been quite some time since I have seen a good horror movie so I appreciated that jump scare at a very unexpected time here.

I Love the Muncy Character
wrenleung21 May 2023
The episodes this season has the classic Law & Order SVU feel that we got in the earlier seasons, and I love that! Muncy is a fantastic character. Her New York accent and 90's style acting takes the series back to the good ol' times. I think they are heading in the right direction with this.

This episode puts the spotlight on Muncy. The writers gave her a lot of material to work with. She's finally working well with Churlish, who I don't mind being promoted to main cast at some point. (Whatever happened to Bruno?)

The final scene with Elliot was very nice.

Anyway, kudos to those who made this show better now. I didn't really enjoy Season 20 onwards but this season is great.

Sorry But Muncy Still Is A Pain

Warning: Spoilers
Really tried to give her a chance but she came off a lot more likable in this episode. But really she has an attitude and that she really has throughout this season, comes off way too much over the top here.

Even though marginally it did make her in the getting a bit character development on it. Had she not gotten on an attitude at all, really would want to give her a chance had they stopped her attitude problem in about three to five episodes to show why she is that way.

Anyway she and Churlish whom I liked very instantly and really came off likable on it worked together. But still verdict is out on Muncy who's first name is Grace as she is anything but!!

It is linked but has different ways despite having the same assaults as it will be harder to prove. As Grace thinks it is liked to a prime suspect in a previous episode named Elias Olsen. As he is one very sick you know what.

It will take all that Muncy has to put him away for life. Olsen blames everything and everybody except himself.

Elliott and Olivia meet at the end of the episode that leads to Organized Crime.

Weird Episode
kevbry16 November 2023
This is a weird episode, I feel like I'm watching two different shows. Muncy and Churlish are an odd addition, but maybe I'm just not used to them. Full disclosure, this is the first episode I've seen with them. In the precinct, they remind me of interns or temps from Robert Half. Detective Muncy even makes an odd reference to Cagney and Lacey, which gave me a chuckle since that show ended before she was born, but maybe her character streams it? All of the characters seem off. Even Carisi has adopted this weird New Jersey accent that's really noticeable when he's in the car with Benson. And Fin?? Fin even uses the term "refractory period".
