Pretty impressive

Without going overboard on spoilers, I was worried early on that this could be an episode where things would go off the rails. A little argument between Magnum and Higgins (will things suddenly change?). And the blatant seeming introduction of Detective Rady to the running case (to turn out to be the bad guy???) and Katsumoto on the mainland (to randomly solve a giant crime)? I was worried the show would jump the shark on the characters in order to keep it interesting, like so many shows do.

Instead they did great at keeping the style and heart of the show while keeping things interesting, as they generally do every week. Very happy this show wet where it did instead of where it could have.

The show still managed to take some surprising turns in the second part of the episode, and do some new style. Risky. But I like when a show feels comfortable enough to have some variety, without losing its heart.

And that was before the ending few minutes. What an ending!!?

A show that can be both heart warming and keep you on the edge of your seat, all without making it so reading through the recap makes the show sound ridiculous. Love it!

This episode have it all, the horror-triller part, the sentimental, the tower moment that was so good that i wish jay hernandez directs a supernatural movie(all this episode is a prove he can do it), the drama, the higgins-magnum subtle conflict that make everything connects...this episode is better than i was expectng. This episode feels like a movie than just another episode. The fact it was shot most in night, the dark music, the colors, the higgins scenes...wow this is a episode that could be a movie, and obviusly the end makes you wonder whats next...give all the cast and crew props, because magnum begins in the first season as light detective works, and now has become something even better.
