No coverage after the loss
jordan224024 April 2020
Gave you a bit more info about Ronda than is common knowledge, but basically, it tried to be a 'women can do anything' uplifter, and placed her in a much higher light than she deserves. It also has no coverage of her after her first loss, which is really what I would have found the most interesting. Probably worth skipping.

Should've Been Better

Great life story.

Not so great delivery, at all.

Should've been done so much better.

It's all about the interviewer.

The guy doing narration and interviews wierded me out. I had to keep checking if documentary was about Rhonda or him. Once I got past this was a good story one worth watching .

Worth a look

Rhonda story is incredible to say the least. This particular documentary leaves a lot to be desired but not on her part. She was great in these interviews, open and relaxed. Her background adversity and her rise is unbelievable. Makers of the documentary left a little to be desired. Too much focus on everyone else and not her. Just my opinion

A moving story
geoasksony24 April 2020
It was interesting to follow the history of Ronda's fighting career and life story. The documentary has made me interested in woman's mma which Ronda had a key role in promoting. It would have been better if there was more footage and detail of the mma fights.

Cheaply made and totally spoiled by ego and vanity of the plonker making the doco
trh19696 April 2020
As a Rousey fan I was looking forward to seeing this as she has a truly amazing story behind her in terms of her upbringing, her Mum's achievements, her Dad's sickness and what she went on to become.

However for a lot of the documentary, I was wondering (in a very frustrated way) if it was a actually a Gary Stretch autobiography and they got the links mixed up in Netflix somehow.

I had never even heard of Gary Stretch. If the cheap and amateur editing and sound quality wasn't bad enough - we have to endure the ENDLESS cutaways (seriously - over and over and over again!!) to Stretch pouting and trying to look all intelligent for the camera. It is torturing for even the first 10 minutes let alone having to endure it the whole way through. For some unfathomable reason he includes a whole bunch of fight scenes of himself and interviewees repeating how great a fighter this guy is/was !?? WTF? - who cares about him - this is Ronda's story.

Comes off like a home movie
natethegreat-072913 April 2020
I love Ronda, but this film was shot, cut and soundtracked like an amateur.

Great story, very poor delivery
pickalo-455904 April 2020
Ronda Rousey has an inspiring story that is very interesting. The camera work, editing and directing was worse than a high school production. Please have a professional film crew remake this into the 10/10 documentary it should be.

Is this a documentary about Gary Stretch?
jrngau5 May 2021
I swear the producer gets more screen time than Rhonda. Incredibly bizarre. Also, it really looks like it was filmed in the 90s.

Decent story, AWFUL producer and production. Makes it hard to watch.

Worth watching it
luisrams-756506 April 2020
This documentary shows the real Ronda not Heel Ronda. Her fans knew all this time that heel Ronda was to sell ppvs and that's what made her what she is today I am so happy seeing her enjoy her life now just like she always wanted in her farm away from everyone in the middle of nowhere set for life. She deserves the best ! TEAM ROUSEY FOREVER

Must see
rjohnr-405404 April 2020
I am a huge Ronda fan. This is a must see even if you're not a fan of combat sports. It's more about the connection with her father and how she started from the bottom to changing the game for women in sports.

Director's ego ruins perfectly good story
doogiski15 April 2020
I've never watched a documentary where the producer tried to insert him into the storyline more than this movie. Ronda's story is fantastic, but Stretch had the insistence to insert himself and his face at every juncture taking away from any momentum the documentary as the user has to continually ask "why am I seeing Gary Stretch's face...again". Add that to editing and sound mixing that sounds like a college grad was hired for extra credits and it makes this one of the worst documentaries I've ever seen.

Subtitled '...The Ronda Rousey Story', except Ronda takes second place to the huge, ego trip, focus on the director and commentator.

Documentary about director Gary Stretch featuring Ronda Rousey
daniew090511 April 2020
Ronda is a great individual and has an inspiring story, but the director ruined a potentially fantastic documentary through terrible audio, cutting, filming and showing his face throughout the whole documentary

Just say no!
alexmcmine5 April 2020
Do yourself a favor and don't watch Ronda Rousey's documentary. It's a solid cheesy boring work of c*** that looks like it was made in the 80s, but in hd. Also this dude Gary Stretch needs to stop showing his face.

Who is this about???!
rich_roadkill15 April 2020
10 minutes in and I know the producers life story, what his favourite colour is and that he loves romantic walks in the park..

Its a story about him with Ronda's name in the title to get people to watch it

Loved it.
mariaelenazaragoza2 April 2020
I loved the story. How Ronda started from 0 to 100. From not having money for gas, working 3 jobs and living in her car to a legend and not worry about money for the rest of her life. Super inspiring.

Amazing athlete, amateur documentary
jesseasido13 April 2020
Is this a documentary about Gary Stretch? Why was it neccessary to see Gary Stretch 50x during this documentary on RONDA ROUSEY. Why is he on the screen so much? This was a disaster. This is horrible for Ronda. She deserves are far greater documentary. Horrible editing & audio. I've seen highschool projects better than this.

Great film about Ronda Rousey
fmooneygomez2 April 2020
I recommend this film about Ronda Rousey. I'm a huge UFC fan and I enjoyed the film immensely because it tied UFC, Judo, MMA, and Boxing all together. It also showed a lot about who she was and her path to becoming the champ in the UFC.

A waste of a great story
jergs-113 April 2020
Having trained with Gene and Gokor in the mid nineties and being a lifelong follower of MMA, it was beyond frustrating to watch this doc. The Rousey story is so rich with characters and history and the fact that this guy Stretch inserted himself into the story is disgusting . Atrocious interview set ups, bad audio , and ridiculous narration made this thing almost unwatchable. Just a shame that this amateur was given the reins and basically made a home movie.
