This isn't the stuff that you were taught in school; ie way overstating Britain's importance and other stupid lies. NO. Russia won the war. Period. Through immense heroism and sacrifice even with millions of Russians being killed by Stalin. The Battle of Stalingrad should be taught to everyone. Russia's losses during this were COLOSSAL. They easily lost well over 30 million; taking on 200 divisions of fascist armies while all the other Ally armies were collectively taken on around 10. Eastern Europe was a wrecking ground with IMMENSE losses. Only critique was that Stone didn't mention that Croatia sided with the Nazis and killed 1 million via extermination camps and massacres, mainly Serbs but Jews and Romas too. Intense episode that does a stellar job at telling the truth and condensing the material while still maintaining accuracy. It's strange to say that Stalin was the anti-hero of the war; he was an immensely cruel, paranoid person to his own people but under him Russia was able to defeat the greatest evil the modern world as ever known and thus is responsible for the free world many of us live in today. Even though, Russians themselves didn't enjoy this freedom.
