Very interesting sequences.

The Police have no choice but to tell The Press about the lack of communication with The Prison, that they failed to hear the warning. Moat sends a letter to The local newspaper, in which he explains his actions and future plans.

It definitely has its dramatic moments, it's a very good follow up episode, your sympathies well and truly lay here with The Copper that was shot and left blind. My disgust lays with those that supported Moat's actions, what on Earth went through his supporter's brains?

Sue Sim, if only they'd toned her hair and makeup down a little bit, she does look a bit like an invader from 1956, I'm not sure she looked as old fashioned as the time.

I understood why Sim was outraged by the production of this series, that it's still very, very relevant to those directly affected by Moat's actions.

There was some interesting footage from the time once again, they managed to tie in new film with it, it looked good.

8/10.

Episode 2

The first episode ended with Raoul Moat vowing to kill coppers and he has sot one, leaving PC David Rathband seriously injured.

Now there is not only a manhunt for Raoul Moat. All police stations have to ramp up security. No police officers will got out on patrol on their own.

We're on to episode two of this true crime adaptation, with Raoul Moat having already murdered one person and critically injured two others, including a policeman.

Neil Adamson (Lee Ingleby) leading the investigation feels hemmed in. The Chief Constable has to admit to the press that the police failed to act on a report that Moat intended to harm his ex girlfriend.

While the local newspaper gets a letter from Raoul Moat and that includes further threats.

There were some nauseating parts to this episode. Adamson is in a pub listening to songs glorifying Moat killing policemen. I'm going to assume that was fictional. In reality I can see the police closing down the pub for breaching its licence conditions and arresting the offending punters.

It was a busy second episode, too busy with less focus on the main theme. It did not always come across as a police procedural, a hunt for Moat.
