Some consider the animations by Steve Cutts incredibly poignant, while others find them trite and preachy to the point of being unbeareable.
For me, these shorts are pretty much hit-or-miss stuff, sometimes having an effective execution (Like In the Fall) and sometimes resulting simply ridiculous (Like in that Moby music video he made about cell phones)
From a technical standpoint, "A Brief Disagreement" is the most impressive of his works, showing a lot of detail, movement and expressiveness in its depiction of the madness of war, told with a rather bitter sense of humor.
It might be preachy as usual, but (unfortunately) the message will always remain evergreen.
6.5/10.
