Alliance against Evil
hellraiser722 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Warning do not read unless watched episode.

This is part 2 in the arc and here the gates of hell have officially opened as we see Uube, utilizing the Devil Gundam and using it to its evilest potential. There is more depth to Uube character which tells us not just the full extent of his motives but also the full extent of his insanity. This guy is a total ego maniac, the whole thing with welding the Devil Gundam is just a way to exercise and inflate that ego to the full extent.

There isn't just a physical confrontation between Domon and him but also verbal and you really feel bad for Domon as Uube is just disgustingly flaunting his ego along with hurting and mocking Domon which makes Domon's emotions burner hotter than a city-wide fire, it just all the more makes you want Domon to win just to wipe the disgusting smirk off Uube's face. We see Domon is just giving it everything he's got, left and right, up and down, but despite his efforts it's just to no avail as there are just too darn many of those tentacles that block his way.

But help for Domon is on the way as we the Shuffle Alliance is coming to his aid once more, and it's fitting since this is the final arc in the series so might as well have the band together one last time. Though I also really liked the scene where we see Natasha providing the means for the Alliance and all the other supporting characters to come and fight where we see Argo's Pirate ship and his friends are all out of jail. It was just touching and beautiful as it shows how far Natasha has come, she finally does what's right for herself by allying herself with the right people her friends. But most importantly she has found her place and it's with Argo as we see her have Argo unshackled but also what she says to her officially solidified the relationship between the two.

We see the Shuffle Alliance also giving it their all, pulling out some of their best moves to destroy most of the tentacles and free Domon but once again it's not enough as they still can't get close enough. But there is one hope yet which is Domon's father who knows of the Devil Gundam's weakness, Rain's father commit an act of redemption, when he frees Domon's father but most of all admit to his guilt. Yeah, he's going to lose his life releasing Domon's father, but it didn't matter to him he's dying anyway but he knows it's finally time for him to pay the price.

We then see Domon's father is finally free and it's once again touching because Domon's goal has finally been achieved in both getting his father back but also his innocence. Will the Shuffle Alliance be able to somehow find a way to overcome Uube and his Devil Gundam, you'll just have to wait till part 3.
