Storyline
Plot Summary |
High atop a Manhattan estate, smart and contented single girl Rigby Gray peers into her neighbors' apartments and lives safely hidden behind her long camera lens, unaware that her life will soon be changed forever. Rigby's snapshots of people's lives come alive in the intersecting stories of various relationships between mothers and children in all the motley forms they can take. We discover how sisters and strangers, flatmates and lovers and even excruciating mothers-in-law can be the most loving mother figures. As an unlikely and unexpected pregnancy forces Rigby to turn the lens on herself and see how the upheaval affects her own life, which she is reluctant to change, it is the stories that help her make her own important decision and accept the uplifting journey into a new life where she finds out what it means to be a mother and daughter to her own mother.
