"Between Sheets" tells a cute yet unlikely romantic story of a young man (Tato Teruya) who while hanging his clothes on a collective clothesline notices a peculiar
shirt with a rainbow which instinctively sends a cool message to him as having something in common with a total stranger. For a couple of days he keeps on spying the
potential shirt owner and even makes some arrangements to keep the shirt there for a longer time...until the type pops in and then...surprise! Or not, most viewers can get
an idea of what could happen between them.
It's a cute little story, all kept to a minimum when it comes to dialogue and the excitment goes through the roof in finding out what'll happen next but...the story is destined to belong in the world of fiction, many things are far from reality though it has plenty of real human elements that it's easy to buy into, but certain things and certain moments would never happen in such a fantastic way (it's like a dream come true to shy people). Won't reveal exactly what happens, see it for yourself.
Cinema as in dream, then the movie is amazing; cinema as a mirror to reality, then it's a somewhat interesting film.
Well acted and the script has a nice progression of events and just as the peeping tom we are desperatly curious in seeing the other guy and see how things will unfold between them. It was a college project, very well made and I guess everyone involved with it will have a great future in the movie business. 6/10.
