Surrealism
lor_17 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A quite unusual fantasy movie from Paul Thomas, using his alias Cleo Edwards. He also scripted the show, a strange tale that seems to follow the everyday life of an unlucky guy, well-played by Tyce Bune, but turns out to be an exercise in surrealism.

I initially enjoyed the highly unpredictable twists and turns PT takes with this material, benefiting from an offbeat cast, headed by Vivid contract beauty Kira Kener. But the continuity eventually gets sloppy, and the illusion of reality slips, not due to outlandish content but rather poor editing. Movie was shot 20 years ago, but I only added it to IMDb today.

The story set-up gives the viewer nice hints, but remains elusive, as we first see Tyce at work, ogling a beautiful, silent co-worker (Kira Kener) and then becoming obsessed with a busty blonde who flashes him and even has sex with her man in a convertible that Tyce keeps encountering when driving around town. Couple is played by the real-life couple of Holly & Troy Halston.

Frustrated, Tyce goes to a sex shop to watch porn in one of the back rooms on TV for $1 a peep. Meanwhile, the Halstons are in another booth making love (as usual), joined by the store's security guard for a threesome. After his cum shot, the guard goes back to work and rousts Tyce for masturbating while he watches, and turns him over to a female cop, played by an obscure actress Brittaney Starr.

At this point, the impression that things are not what they seem becomes strong as the blonde cop gives Tyce a hard time but then seduces him in an alley. Okay, by porn logic that could just be an indulgence, but it's peculiar enough to raise the viewer's eyebrows.

Emerging on the street, Tyce discovers his car's been towed away, and he travels to the impound lot, discovering he's lost his wallet, so he offers the pretty blonde (Sugar Kane) running the lot his watch in order to get his car back. She instantly seduces him (just as unlikely an occurrence as th blonde cop's prior action), but he's beaten up by her motorcyle stud boyfriend, Marty Romano. After Marty's cum shot, the creep runs over poor Tyce with his bike -cut to the ambulance.

The EMT in the ambulance is none other than Kira Kener, who masturbates right in front of the nearly unconscious Bune, clearly his fantasy imagination has been running wild. The ambulance driver (Anton Michael) humps Kener and fade out.

At this point the movie loses some steam, as it's time for PT to try and tie up some loose ends in his Chaos Theory. Byce is back home, his injury only repped by an icepack at his temple. He goes to play a videocassette on his TV but it won't work. Heading to his bathroom to masturbate, the sex magazine spotlights Kira Kener (as herself, a Vivid girl) and a noise brings him back to the bedroom where Kira Kener strips and seduces him. How will this absurd saga end?
