ok story

Warning: Spoilers
Case was ok but the interaction between Street and new girl.. wait.. how many times did she disobey orders?

2? 3?

And then dude goes to the convenient locker room to talk to her and she gives him attitude.. "not this again" wait what? Who do you think you are talking to? You are talking to your senior swat team member that can talk to your sergeant and get you canned since you are fresh meat.. and she talks to him like that?

She gives him some boring story of her former partner getting injured during their time at the Sherifs department.. he got injured because he didnt follow her gut feeling... oh come on.. they could have made a much better story.. made like her former partner and maybe a hostage died in a situation because she took time doing some protocol whatever she needed to do and because of that they got killed..

making her be reckless because the partner didnt follow her feelz.. is lazy writing to give her an excuse to be annoying..

had it been street second guessing commands from senior FEMALE officers, we wouldnt even be witnessing this convo.. it would have been the female chewing his ass and saying very deadpan.. do it again and you are gone.

Ok episode, but odd and lazy writing
grlym-4684921 June 2023
This episode went through some really odd transitions

A bunch of kids flash mob stealing, then a young lady is shot, presumably by a cop, but then it ends up being murder to cover human trafficking

The most odd part is what the show uses for motivation and opposition to keep the episode going. The main thrust is piggybacking Deacon thinking he killed a young black female bystander, but once cleared goes from grief to this vigilante "I'm going to get them by any means" attitude. And as opposition writing to show how motivated he is, the entire cast seems to get lines written like they are lazy or too bothered to follow the easiest leads. Why does this stand out to me? Because nearly every episode, they chase the craziest and slimiest possible answers all the time. And skip over the actual time it takes to do these things.

This shows writing was very incongruent to the norm of the seasons.
