Not one picture?
jimbo-1081421 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It was overall entertaining but one big question for me remains:

There are over 300 people who witnessed this unexplainable phenomenon and there is absolutely no actual photo or camera footage of it? That smells like bs to me. I know it is the year 1994 and there were no cellphones at the time.. But out of all these people who have reported to seen these lights for minutes and maybe longer and described it as the most odd and fascinating thing they have ever seen, no one managed to grab a camera and capture these lights int he sky..? Also there was this cop who was chasing the lights with his car.

No video or picture?

Warning: Spoilers
The story is interesting. But I am forced to reflect. I live in Brazil and in 1994 I knew some people who owned camcorders. I imagine that in the United States a lot more people own camcorders. Is it serious that absolutely none of the hundreds of witnesses recorded a video? Nobody even took a picture? It makes no sense. Cameras were very common in Brazil at that time. If they were common here, in the United States I imagine that even children had cameras. It's really very strange to think that you don't have a photo of this event. Even more likely that people who even use cameras to work have witnessed UFOs, for example, photographers.

EDIT 1: Answering the alleged photographer who commented here. If you're an ordinary person and you see an event like that at that time, you certainly won't think "wow, I'm not going to take pictures because they sure won't look good". This makes no sense, at least ONE photo, even if it's horrible, should exist in this case. I'm not even going to talk about videos again.

1994.... No digital cameras. Video cameras were not very good. The best film cameras were the 35 mm single lens reflex with a super fast lens with less than f/2.8 and 1000 ISO was a must have. A telephoto would be a must as well.

Then, have you ever taken a film 35 mm camera from room temperature to 20 degrees F?

Sure, as a photographer, I would have tried but the UFO would have been a blurry line at best. Anybody could have taken a 1/2 second photo of a street light and said it was the UFO.

I wish I had my Canon EOS 10 camera with me at work but I didn't.

How is it BS when you have an actual recording from the NWS to a County Central Dispatch Center?

Loved this episode

Very reminiscent of the original series. The episode was very well done. The accounts seem credible and interesting. The consistency of the reports and the data from the radar, which the scientist described in meticulous detail, are what distinguish this UFO sighting incident from the others. He was so shocked as he watched the objects, as evidenced by the 911 call. The absence of any news crews at the location astounded me the most, regardless of the viewpoint. There were numerous opportunities for the community to have at least some video, no matter how blurry. There would have been some highly important revelations, as witnessed in various news reports or film footage from various angles.

It wasn't one I enjoyed.

Back in 1994, 300 residents in Michigan reported seeing strange lights in the sky on March 8th.

Part of me is a little unsure, the first thing I thought to myself, it was 1994, living in an area with so much natural beauty, so much wildlife, did not one of those people who saw what they did, have a camera? Then I look back at pictures of me at that time, and remember how different it was back then, if you got a lamp or street light in your shot, it would look like a massive blur, so who knows what this would have looked like.

To be honest, I didn't really care for this one, maybe it was the way it was told, or put together, maybe those who saw it didn't come across very well. Maybe it was because no other tangible theories or counter arguments were offered.

It would have been one impressive stunt to get three hundred people to agree the same story, they definitely saw something, what that was, remains unsolved.

Draw your own conclusions, 5/10.

Factual and amazing

I cannot believe how much evidence there is with the sightings! Their transportation reminds me of how we have a lack of knowledge in quantum physics. Hopefully one day we will have the technology to keep up with and study them.

Would love to see more episodes about the Navy's statement validating the presence of UFOs.

IMBD why are you requiring 600 dang character minimum to submit a review? I don't have that kind of time or energy to think of things to write. 134 characters left. 113... ugh. I have to work in the morning, this almost isn't worth it. Feels like I'm writing a dang novel. No wonder there's only 3 reviews!

Nobody owned a camera
jrbond-576243 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
In 1994, you're looking at the most amazing and unusual phenomena that you've ever seen. 300+ people had the ability to immediately call 911, but nobody owned a camera or was able to take a photograph. Many eye witnesses were at home, went outside and looked at the objects for several minutes, but not one person got a single photograph.

This is the second nd disappointing episode in the new series and it looks like there aren't enough unsolved mysteries for the Netflix producers to find. This was a very poor show for Netflix because, based on other series they've produced, you expect a lot more from them. The best thing about this series so far is the excellent theme tune!

100 percent true

Warning: Spoilers
I lived in Holland mi and Muskegon mi my whole life. I was only 6 in 1994 so personally I don't remember this happening. But now in my 30s I asked every older friend I could if this was true and if they remember it . And two of them said they did ..and I one actually said that he sat and watched the lights over lake Michigan . This man is a master electrician and one of the very few people I trust in this crazy world. He has no reason to lie to me .and the fact that the Muskegon weather station saw this on radar definitely separates this from usual alien/UFO stories. And actual police recoedings of them communicating .

There's one huge issue with this one
florisklaver7630 October 2022
No pictures or video? It's 1994, I realize camera phones weren't around yet but come on.. In 1994 photography had been around for over 100 years and almost everyone had a camera, be it analog. According to the stories from the witnesses these lights were around for 15 to 20 minutes, surely one of 300 people would've thought to grab a camera. There sure as hell was enough time to do so. I'm open to hear about UFO's and alien lifeforms and I agree it would be a stunt to get 300 people to all back up the same story without any proof. It's just so unlikely that out of the 300 nobody had the idea to take some pictures, especially the professionals involved.

UFO
AvionPrince1627 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A story about UFO and people are witnessed something weird in the sky and we saw them how upset they are about it. So we heard all the theories about these UFO they saw. I found these kind of things are pretty hard to believe and hard to see them talked and we can just imagine and thats all. Its all about theories and witnessed and its pretty hard to take these statements and theories as facts. So we just pretty passive and witness what happened. Nothing really interesting we can just saw how people saw things and how they reacted to them. Thats all i didnt found it interesting and cant really stand that kind of stories because too much hard to believe. But good to see thats happened. But hothing really relevant or interesting.
