I'm rewatching this series again and after every episode I ask myself...WHY!!? Why cancel this show!? Please bring it back. Watching Megan Hilty sing in this episode was amazing! A true Broadway star!

Smash The Fallout

Warning: Spoilers
Karen goes to see Jimmy again to help him with his show but him being obnoxious again once again turns her off. The show goes downhill quickly and Eileen wants everyone to stick around. Derek had some jobs lined up but the scandal is causing such problems for him. Eileen now must ask Jerry for his American theatre wing table because she has lost hers. Plans have changed for the upcoming party as the four mains of the show (Eileen, Derek, Julia and Tom) are going. Karen now has become big headed not able to wait for these young writers and their unfinished show. Ivy once again must get advice from Julia who is still unstable and not the right person. Tom speaks to Harvey Fierstein on the street lying about what he is doing at this party. Derek is drunk at the bar and when he gets punched to the floor he hallucinates women singing "Would I Lie to You" in their pink pumps. Ivy returns home to find the drunk Derek outside her apartment. Julai goes to the party but because of the lie makes a fool of herself in front of Miriam Abramson (Margo Martindale) the head of the theatre wing. Karen and her friends go to a party in Brooklyn and she uses this as an opportunity to talk to Jimmy. Eileen meets with Miriam at the party and is asked to leave because of her bad reputation now. During the cooler party Karen sings one of his own songs which makes him leave in anger and the two song writers fight on the street. Eileen at the party wants to make an event by doing a performance from Bombshell, while Karen cannot be found Ivy is the second choice to sing "They Just Keep Moving The Line". Jimmy was able to find Karen's house with all his music putting the two into a partnership on developing his show. This was even worse then the premiere because nothing excited me and Ihated nearly everything in the episode. Ivy as a character makes no sense to me how she puts herself in all these bad situations.

EPISODE GRADE: D- (MVP: Jeremy Jordan)
