"Berlin Day to Night" is an 11-minute black-and-white film from 2 years ago. The director is Theodore Collatos, but apparently he does not appear visibly in this film, which was a bit confusing to me as we hear a woman call another character Teddy at some point. It is not really clear how much is real and how much is staged in this film, but it's not a mockumentary either as there is no comedy in here. I watched another film by Collatos and saw that that he made this one about Berlin and as it's the city in which I have lived for almost 30 years, I got curious about it and gave it a go. It's an okay watch all in all I guess. Some of the locations are pretty interesting, the music was fine and yet there is something missing that makes this film as unique as the metropolis where it plays. It also feels that it is really more about the people in here, especially the ending wit the prostitute, than about the place itself which is a bit of a pity as the final interview, for example, could also have been done in Paris, Rome or London. All in all, I hoped for more. Not recommended, unless you live in Berlin maybe.
